Not the best performance so far at the Pan American Championships. Will post the medalists once the event is over.

Men's Volleyball FIVB World Championship 2022
JoshMartini007 replied to Totallympics's topic in Volleyball
Maybe they should have co-hosted with Japan -
That score would have gotten Rylan Wiens 4th at the Olympics, similarly Margo Erlam's performance in the women's 3m would have won silver. Tanesha Lucoe's performance in the women's 10m would've placed her 7th. Of course, comparing scores between competitions (especially national competitions) isn't the best, but it does show our diving team is still strong. Now we just need someone in the men's 3m...

The lack of quotas in combat sports makes having more than 1 athlete per event not very feasible unless you restrict it to the point where both athletes have to be in the top 3. Even then, using the 2020 judo rankings that would have granted four athletes a spot (2 for Japan and 1 for Canada and Russia). Once you go further, then the diversity drops rather quickly.

If you are going to slash racquetball and squash like that then you need to drop the team events. No individual qualifiers for squash is ridiculous.

Water Polo 2022 - 2023 Discussion Thread

I think South Africa women's team will have a decent chance at "qualifying" to the Olympics again -
The Canadian men are doing great in the 100m & 200m events, now only if we can get some 400m runners in the mix.

Group A in the women's tournament is quite strong, maybe one of the top 3 teams can trade places with Brazil/Kazakhstan/New Zealand in Group C -
Pretty much, Canada, India and Nigeria will be hit quite hard if wrestling gets cut and it's not like it costs a lot to host the event, any generic indoor space will do. Of course with wrestling being non-existent in Australia, I'm not surprised it didn't make the initial cut.
-
So relative to 2022, Basketball, Judo and Wrestling are missing while Shooting has been left off a second time. Of course, more sports may be added later.
