  1. btw 18 positive cases, with 11 athletes before competition starts. https://isasurf.org/isa-statement-2021-surf-city-el-salvador-isa-world-surfing-games-covid-19-test-results/
  2. Yes, there will be a livestream daily on their website and Facebook page. Also, Olympics.org will stream it.
  3. Rhythmic Gymnastic https://www.instagram.com/p/CPX1b3YqNNT/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link It's first quota for the country too
  4. not yet, I am waiting for it too.
  5. All athletes will dispute on heats at maximum 4 people on first round. First and second position will advance always for next rounds till final. All the surfers who finish the heats on third and fourth place on first, and in next rounds, will down to repechage way. Then, they cannot lose again and need to win or be the second in all heats till the final.
  6. If Lucca Messinas qualifies again, Leandro Usuna will get the quota from Panamerican Games
  7. Yeah, I know As I said, those are the candidates imo. I don't believe in any surfer outside of this list getting quota. If this happens will be a surprise, but not impossible, like Boukhiam getting a quota in 2019. Pauline and Vahine are strong contenders to get a quota. I believe one of them will make it. Keep in mind that France only can add one more individual to its women's team.
  8. It's hard to say, there are a lot of good surfers and it depends on definition of heats as well. But, I'd say those are the main candidates... a long list Men Santiago Muniz Leandro Usuna Joshua Burke Noé Mar Mcgonagle Carlos Muñoz Giorgio Gomez Bryan Perez Dylan Groen Leon Glatzer Jhony Corzo I Ketut Agus Adtya Putra Rio Waida Hiroto Ohhara Matthew Mcgillivray Marco Giorgi Leonardo Fioravanti Angelo Bonomelli Vasco Pessoa Andy Criere Aritz Aranburu Alonso Correa Women Ornela Pellizzari Josefina Ane Chelsea Tuach Bethany Zelasko Isabella Gomez Eva Luna Woodland Solano Leilani Mcgonagle Dominic Barona Pauline Ado Vahine Fierro Noah Klapp Rachel Presti Camilla Kemp Shelby Detmers Cesenas Kailani Johnson Amuro Tsuzuki Mahina Maeda Paige Hareb Claire Bevilacqua Emily Gussoni Carolina Mendes Teresa Bonvalot Yolanda Sequeira Leticia Canales Nadia Erostarbe Geiser Sofia Mulanovich
  9. This competition will give the last 12 spots to Tokyo. 5 men and 7 women There will be 52(or 51, it is not clear yet) nations competing in El Salvador. Despite the winners from 2019 games have yet a chance to lose their quotas, some of them are already 100% safe. According to the start list of the event. Bianca Buitendag and Billy Stairmand cannot lose their places in Tokyo anymore. Also, Jordy Smith , Kolohe Andino , John John Florence , Kelly Slater , Seth Moniz and Lakey Peterson should participate at this event as a mandatory rule from the qualification system. However, if they proof the incapacity of take part on it, they will be allowed to compete in Tokyo. (Seth, Kelly and Lakey are alternate) Another interesting point is from team. Eveline Hooft was the second best european at 2019 games and consequently the reserve of Anat Lelior to Olympics. She is injured, so she will not take part on this tournament. Her only chance to get a ticket to Tokyo, now, is supporting Lelior to get another ticket, and give to her the previous one.
  10. let's see if I got it. There will be brackets? and how will they by seeded? by ranking? Then the semifinalists will make a round robin?
  11. Men's Street Nyjah Huston Gustavo Ribeiro Aurelien Giraud Vicent Milou Yuto Horigome Sora Shirai Kelvin Hoefler I can't even imagine Huston losing his place at Olympics, he only loses it if other three americans get podium. Hoefler also only with a very unlikely combination. Matt Berger Yukito Aoki Shane O'Neill Manny Santiago Angelo Caro Narvaez look very safe Dashawn Jordan, Jamie Foy Jake Ilardi and Maurio Mccoy for two quotas. Ivan Monteiro, Carlos Ribeiro, Felipe Gustavo, Lucas Rabelo and Giovanni Viana for two quotas. It means that three quotas are still in dispute. I believe all those countries are in contender to get it: The last spot will be for the best african, for now Brandon Valjalo is getting that, and I don't see this changing.
  12. as far as I know, there's a rule that countries with participation in last two? Olympic Games in Basketball, can't take part on this last tournament.
  13. It's an overview for next World Championships of Street Skateboarding in Rome, Italy. After WS update on World Ranking we already have an idea about the chances of qualification for these skateboarders. Women's Street I cannot see any girl outside TOP 20 getting podium on this event, so for women's side it will be similar to the qualification for Park. Basically all girls qualifying based on ranking. Those girls look 100% safe to get a quota: Pamela Rosa Rayssa Leal Leticia Bufoni Aori Nishimura Mariah Duran Candy Jacobs Hayley Wilson Ross Zwetsloot As for the brazilians, they only can lose their spots, if any other brazilian gets the podium. I only see Virginia Fortes Aguas and Gabriela Mazzeto with level to do it. Mariah Duran still can lose her spot for the same reason of the brazilians, but only with a very unlikely combination of points and podium for other american skateboarders. Margielyn Arda Didal and Keet Oldenbeuving also look very safe for their quotas. It will be interesting the battle among all the other girls for the left spots. Alana Smith, Poe Pinson, Alexis Sablone and Samarria Brevard for two quotas. Yumeka Oda, Funa Nakayama, Rizu Akama and Momiji Nishiya for two quotas. Kaya Isa and Kotone Nishimura have a small chance as well. It means that five quotas are still in dispute. The pontuation received from Worlds is quite high, so I believe all those countries are in contender to get it: The last spot will be for the best african, for now Boipelo Awuah is getting that, and I don't see this changing.
  14. I dont think so, he needs at least something between 14th or 13th place only to have a chance. very hard
  15. @gucardn Felipe Gustavo is now the second best brazilian on street ranking. And the three brazilian girls only lose their places if any other brazilian gets podium. @hckošiceRichard Tury is now the 20th best eligible qualified skateboarder. big chances to get a quota.
  16. WS has updated its World Ranking and it is official, all athletes that I mentioned on Dew Tour thread are qualified... Or maybe not all... Rune Glifberg still can lose his quota if and organize national events. Kensuke Sasaoka needs at least the second place, and Jericho Francisco needs the victory. For the women's, all skateboarders are 100% qualified, there isn't any girl on the ranking that still can overtake them.
  17. https://www.worldathletics.org/athletes/tajikistan/gulsumbi-sharifova-14849528 Gulsumbi Shafirova 22.72 200m @Wumo can confirm?
  18. Sry for late answer. I will wait WS update the rankings to do an overview for Worlds next week. This next competition all the athletes can qualify to Olympics if they get the podium, and the pontuation is quite higher if compared with Pro Tour, so there are a lot of possibilities. Even though I have calculated points for Felipe Gustavo who was the best brazilian. Now, he is in a qualifying position or, at least, very close.(because I had not checked out the points for Viana and Ribeiro) It is still super undefined among Felipe, Giovani, Carlos, Ivan and Lucas for those last 2 spots. (I dont tihnk Kelvin will lose his quota) For the girls it is clear that Leticia, Rayssa and Pamela will make it. Virginia and Gabriela(who didnt participate at this event) can steal one of this quotas only if they get the podium... Gabriela has level to do it, but I dont know why she didnt appear in USA and I believe that she wont be in Rome.
  19. Very exciting battle for last olympic spot on Men's Park final... Tate Carew finished 5th but it was not enough for him, who needed at least the victory. So, the quota would go for the best qualified between Jagger Eaton and Thomas Schaar... Eaton was leading over Schaar till the round 3, with a score of 79,66. However, on the last attemp, Schaar got 79,98 and overtook his compatriot. Eaton yet had a chance to grab the quota again but he failed. he got really disappointed EDIT: NEVERMIND! ZION GOT THE FIRST PLACE AND OVERTOOK ALL OF THEM BY ONLY 474 POINTS! HE GETS THE LAST QUOTA! I was not even considering him, because he was the 16th best american on the ranking... he was on 114th position overall, and now on the olympics.
  20. Lore Bruggeman and Julia Brueckler got some important points reaching the final of Women's Street Poe Pinson was the 9th best skateboarder from USA before this competition... now with the 5th place, she becomes the 4th best skateboarder and put herself on contender to get an Olympic spot. Pamela Rosa was the winner
  21. btw... this was the first event since the qualification started that Misugu Okamoto wasn't the winner... Sakura Yosozumi got the gold medal this time.
  22. Kokona Hiraki finished on 5th position the final of Women's Park, while Mami Tezuka was 4th and Kisa Nakamura 7th. On my counts the 4th place was not enough for Tezuka, and Kokona overtook Kisa for 2000 points and took the last quota on this event.
