  1. Another WR! Girma beats the disco lights 7:52.11!
  2. There he is, thanks to millions of answered prayers ….not even St Francis of Assisi can help him, finishes in seventh. Only Lourdes can help him now!
  3. Actually, you are correct. A winning PM was thrown out for trivial reasons & replaced with a globalist loser.
  4. SINGLE GREATEST THING IN SPORTS - two athletes going head-to-head for an athletics World Record!
  5. Incidentally, this stream is NOT geo-blocked!
  6. Huge 800m time from Keely Hodgkinson NR in 1:55.77 for a season opener!
  7. Looks like the Two Miles is not gb’ed! Ingebritsen gets the WR - OK, let’s be pedantic WBP.
  8. Very easy win for Oklahoma in the end. They are dominating softball just now like Real Madrid dominated the European Cup in the early years.
  9. Yeah, but that could not be run on existing WC courses, so….
  10. Some anonymous, unaccountable, faceless, unelected individual or group is currently exercising the powers of the Presidency. Biden has nothing to do with it. That’s the definition of a Coup.
  11. Yeah, that’s the nature of coups. Things are normal until they’re not, like on aircraft where the pilots die & the passengers don’t realize.
  12. Biden runs the USA in the same sense the guy in the Mickey Mouse suit runs Disneyland.
  13. Star Keely Hodgkinson returns in Paris. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/athletics/65845063 Also there is a pre-meet event featuring in Ingebritsen Two Mile WR attempt. Where better to attempt an Imperial-distance WR than the home city of the metric system? It’s televised live here, but might be geo-blocked. https://tv.nrk.no/serie/friidrett/202306/MSPO34051823/avspiller
  14. So the Coup d'Etat in has now reached the stage where Stanislaw Mikolajczyk flees to London, Jan Masaryk is murdered, Cardinal Mindszenty is put on trial & King Peter II is deposed,
  15. Preview / Reminder for Paris. Starts an hour later than usual to allow extra time for the tear gas to clear from the day’s usual strikes & rioting. https://worldathletics.org/competitions/diamond-league/news/meeting-de-paris-2023-kipyegon-gidey-mclaughlin-levrone
  16. Including just makes a farce of the whole thing. Why not Baja California while you’re at it!
  17. Agree. They got it right at Beijing 2008 with the live onscreen punch-count but then took an immediate step back to their traditional crooked fight-rigging at London.

  21. World Mountain Running Championships from Stubai this week. Bit of a strange event in that most of these guys are real specialists unknown to the general public, but there’s a bit of crossover to several other sports. YT has 6 different language streams. https://www.youtube.com/@wmtrc2023_innsbruckstubai/streams
  22. And there’s a Day -1, like a proper Games!
  23. Like the sound of this one, doesn’t seem to require all those hours of training.
  24. Haven’t worked out a full schedule but I doubt there will be many instances where there is a pile-up of three or four events with British interest as there is with the Olympics, going by previous experience.
  25. Imagine the BBC will want to show a whole pile of sports with medal chances, but not so much ski jumping, teqball etc.
