I don't understand how people are saying Stoddard fell over and conclude as the only comment "oh it's a horrible day for her. Very eurocentric take on this"
What about the Korean athletes who took 4 years to get here and got wiped out by Stoddard. Yes Korea is third but usually Koreans overtake their opponent in the last 3-4 laps. Korea is world ranked twice in this and got robbed off a medal.
This person fell over 3 times on her own because she can't control her speed. It can happen but if it is this often it is reckless and inconsiderate of the fact you are taking out others next to you.
