  1. sad but not unexpected really
  2. Imma just say, when you have THE SOCIAL talking about this, well, you really screwed up.
  3. It looks like the IIHF is sticking with 3-on-3 overtime for all events moving forward. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
  4. Always love to see it! This problem is for sure not gonna change overnight, but I'm glad we're starting somewhere.
  5. As a hockey fan, keep an eye on Connor Bedard, Matthew Schaefer, and Gavin McKenna. And Macklin Celebrini's only going to get better by 2030. Sebastian Cossa also has potential to be an excellent goaltender as well.
  6. Thought this was a nice presser, I think summed up how all of us felt about the Olympics this time. But man oh man, this was pretty depressing, especially compared to Beijing where Shoemaker seemed happy about the performance then. Feel free to share your thoughts.
  7. Kudos to you bud, I don't think anyone was happy with the performance by Canada all tournament, but we all stayed on until the end. Take as much time as you need.
  8. Yea was able to see on some articles what happened from the post-game presser and yeaaaaaa didn't look like anyone was happy. Even Beijing's didn't seem to have this bad of vibes. Like even after Beijing, David Shoemaker said he was "satisfied" with the performance, and it doesn't look like he said anything along those lines this time. It's nice to see everyone in the country united on an issue though, maybe that'll finally lead to changes.
  9. Maybe all of this could happen this year perhaps and we might finally see some progress. I dunno who in the COC really is satisfied with how we did this year. Even if it does end up happening, it’s a shame that we had to have a really bad Olympics overall to finally get things going in terms of funding
  10. It’s been a few days and I’m sure there may be changes from then, but yknow after the interview from a few days ago there’s not much optimism as it stands
  11. Finally some good news! More needs to be done to fix the funding crisis, but I guess this is a start somewhere.
  12. Cmon weather you've done this before you can def do it again
  13. WE OFFICIALLY HAVE PASSED OUR GOLD TOTAL IN BEIJING WOOOOOOOOOOO
  14. Yea and rn it doesn’t seem like anyone is really willing to do so ;-;
  15. Yeah that definitely makes sense. It’s a shame though, we used to be one of the top nations at the Winter Olympics and now we seem to be falling, and it’s embarrassing that government and arrogance and complacency is the main reason for it.
  16. Ok yea, we're probs forever doomed if this is our mindset for the future. Accountability starts from the top. If you don't realize that, then you're the main reason of the problem of all this.
  17. But idk, it's getting increasingly looking like our consistent better results at the Summer Olympics is coming at the cost of success at our Winter Olympics. Like I highly doubt that Tokyo and Paris being our best ever Summer Olympics and Beijing and Milano-Cortina being our worst Winter Olympics is just some random coincidence.
  18. True but when it comes to these types of results that consistently happen many orgs take this as a signal that it's time to clean house. I feel the worst part is I don't think that is gonna fix anything. Or at the very least I'm very skeptical it will. Like there doesn't seem to be anything that'll ensure we get better results in 2030 as of now.
  19. Tbf short track is like the least predictable sports out here, and like just about anything can happen. But yeah gotta hope that eventually the government wakes up and sees that their stinginess comes with horrible results. If we don't get some actual funding results like this could become a norm for the future.
  20. So it's YOUR fault I had better hear your explanation and it better be good smh
  21. https://www.thescore.com/wolym/news/3470054 Solid article regarding the women's hockey team and what they got to do going forward
