  1. Honestly, I see Barbara/Carol as a very limited team, they can win gold (they're not fourth in the rankings for nothing, after all), but I imagine they should have a perfect tournament for that. Duda/Ana Patricia, on the other hand, could win even if they weren't playing that well. Regarding the latest performances, I'm happy that these problems arose now and not at the Olympics and be surprised, as happened with Agatha/Duda in Tokyo.
  2. I think it's the first time since Rio 2016 that I'm totally confident with our women's team. I don't know if we're going to win a medal here at the VNL or even in Paris, but the team looks much more solid than in recent years.
  3. Very pessimistic prediction regarding the number of gold medals. It's not impossible, but it should be very sad that at least one of Medina, Beatriz Ferreira, Mayra Aguiar, Rayssa or Duda/Ana P. doesn't win gold.
  4. No wins again. But as I never expect anything good from Brazilian basketball, especially women's basketball, this was totally expected. We really didn't deserve it this time, but we're getting better, so who knows, Los Angeles?
  5. Well when was the last time we beat a decent team in women's basketball? And I'm not talking about B teams from Canada and the United States. You can lose by 1 point or 20, but a defeat is always a defeat. And that's why we're going to lose to Germany tomorrow too.
  6. What a disastrous competition for Brazil in the men's street. Not at least a semifinal for Hoefler, Vianna or Rabelo.
  7. Even with some small surprises, this must be the most predictable women's handball championship I've ever watched.
  8. I don't understand. How this Japanese team still can't beat Korea?
  9. The Olympics is a very restricted competition. While on other continents there are always several countries with a chance of qualifying, here Australia competes in practically all categories without any remotely decent opponent (rare exceptions). I understand the need to have representatives from Oceania at the Olympics, but I can't help but find it unfair.
  10. I think the fact that Australia is weak in boxing is not even the main point. I think the key point in being in the Olympics is to deserve to be there, to win a place in a real competition. I don't see there's much merit in winning a quota when you're the only country competing (sorry New Zealand and the others).
  11. Honestly I think I'd rather face Norway than Spain in women's handball. Another defeat...
  12. It looks like this channel will broadcast one free Brazilian Superliga game per round. https://youtube.com/@NSPORTS_OFICIAL?si=MpI6MGFR9q87QEt_ I just couldn't find a schedule of which games will be broadcast this season.
  13. Well, it's difficult to compete, but I remember that the women's handball final had a great audience. Perhaps if the organizers hadn't decided to put ALL the team sport finals at the same time, we could have had a different scenario.
  14. It's a final for the second most popular sport in the country against its biggest rival. This couldn't be any different.
  15. The best team won. Congratulations !!
  16. Wait, a day later, the podium has already happened and now the athlete has to give back the gold?? Is this serious??
  17. I'm still in shock that breaking is an Olympic sport. What subjective crap is that?
  18. I think that for quotas it would be men's basketball. For unlikely but not impossible medals, I would be happy with Hugo Calderano's medal in table tennis, Hidalgo or Messias in triathlon or the women's handball team.
  19. After elimination in the individual, Marcus D'Almeida wins bronze along with the team in archery. Great performance from him once again and from the other two athletes, of course.
  20. Of course the USA was a big favorite, but I think we are no longer underdogs in triathlon.
  21. We have always been weak in water polo, but our current level is bizarre.
  22. I can't be surprised by anything else in these games.
  23. Eu achei que íamos passar vergonha no atletismo, mas o nível está tão abaixo que felizmente podemos garantir algumas medalhas surpreendentes.
