  1. A nice 4th for Asia Philips in the TJ. 32 points in the placing table. Fwiw, we had 18 in 2022, 21 in 2021, 22 in 2018.
  2. Canada starts the U20 Women's World Cup with a 3-3 draw with France. Canada only scored 3 goals combined at its last two appearances at the event.
  3. Men's team finish as silver medalists.
  4. Bronze for the 4x100 Women's relay. Both Australia and USA were dqd
  5. The Canadian men won gold in the doubles event at the World Championships. The men are also in the team event final after defeating both Bolivia and Mexico.
  6. Isabella and Ava Holmgren went 1 and 3rd in the short track u23 event. Canada also finished fourth. Almost a sweep!
  7. Michelle Fazzari has sadly passed away
  8. Michelle Fazzari, former World Championship medalist (wresting), Cancer. She only discovered cancer during the qualification process for Tokyo 2020
  9. Only one I can think of is Faroe Islands for obvious reasons
  10. He was named to the team but did not compete.
  11. First ever medalist across both the Olympics or Paralympics.
  12. I totally missed that! Just wow I wonder if this is why certain boats weren't sent to the World Qualifier.
  13. Rowing Canada Aviron (RCA) qualified two boats for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, and we want to convey that we know this is not enough. We are a proud nation of rowers with an incredible legacy of success in our sport and we take that responsibility very seriously. We fell short of our own goals and objectives which will continue to prompt reflection about our approach moving forward. No plans nothing for improvement. https://sirc.ca/news/canadian-rowing-sustaining-a-legacy-beyond-paris/
  14. Nice to see Roxon as flagbearer first swimmer to go to 5 Paralympics
  15. Nationals for all disciplines are happening now in Cookstown, Ontario (the Pan Am Range) Trap results: Men: Top qualifier was Colin Grover 225/250. Women: Maddy Scola 211/250 They did two rounds of 125 targets. Skeet Men: Trysten Curran-Routledge 119/125, followed by Jason Caswell 116/125 Women: Maddy Boyd: 110/125. And then there is a huge drop off
  16. Maybe you know, but are there any npcs that competed in Tokyo but not Paris
  17. Just leaving this here for those interested: https://www.thestar.com/sports/amateur/fletchers-fields-the-heart-of-ontario-rugby-for-58-years-is-closing-heres-why-it/article_9afe981a-5fe0-11ef-a307-631bff995145.html This was the proposed venue for the 2015 Pan Am Games rugby sevens competition before it was moved away. I feel like that would have saved the venue. Oh well.
  18. Yup. First two should be pretty safe. Norway might be 50 50
  19. That confirms our first returning nation to the WOG!
  20. What a statistic, don't think this has happened in any sport ever.
  21. So sad she didn't qualify for Paris 😞
  22. Canadian wrestling has some life! Kaura Coles is the U17 WC in the 53 kg event! (she pinned a Japanese wrestler to win gold)
