  1. Perhaps thankfully we're dealing with economical wars in the XXI century. Just look at the tarriff stand-off between China and USA. Communism is largely dead in Europe and most modern day wars have started due to ideology and economical differences. Islam is the last ideology which can wager on a new global war IMO.
  2. Hmm... living in Argentina makes it all look oh-so easy, right? South America is probably the last continent that has to worry about Islam tbh. Poland only escaped the Soviet occupation 30 years ago, we're not exactly thrilled to see these Muslim immigrants now. Let the colonial powers pay their own debts first.
  3. Well, Iran went from skirts & jeans to hijabs. Hardly a liberal way of order. This can easily happen in Europe too come the next century
  4. Yes, but I've heard about the other three before so I suspect it's public knowledge already, Had no clue about Whiting though.
  5. The women's 400m race: https://twitter.com/M1ZKA/status/1032317784833908736 Mens 100m results:
  6. Christian Taylor - the triple-jumper - just finished 3rd in the 400m Hurdles Steven Gardiner wins in 44,43 (only 0,02 slower than his silver medal winning run from London last year).
  7. Tomasz Majewski said that Ryan Whiting will retire at the end of the season. That's odd, he will only turn 32 in November.
  8. Caster Semenya wins 400m in 50,06 2. Swiety-Ersetic 51,45.
  9. 100m: Ronnie Baker 9,87 WL (-0,1 wind) 2. Mike Rodgers, 3. Guliyev.
  10. Ca. 31.000 spectators at the Kamila Skolimowska Memorial in Chorzow tonight. That's pretty impressive! (free tickets and a great weather surely helps ). Gudzius 66,15 in the discus so far. Lisek vs Barber for PV win at 5.85 (Lavillenie & Wojciechowski out at 5.80)
  11. It's been mentioned elsewhere few weeks back but it's getting more official and seems like Olga Zabelinskaya is well on course to represent at the Tokyo OG. She says Russians still won't be allowed to compete under colors.
  12. Ugh, nope. Unless Lawrence Sr takes the wheel
  13. Albon doesn't convince me at all. I've mentioned how Markelov's in his 5th season already, he'd never gotten this far back in the F3000 days and still be serious about F1 (well, other than his money). Endurance racing makes 95% of drivers look good. Even John Winter won Le Mans and Tracy fuckin' Krohn won a Grand-Am race outright.
  14. Well, you said 50 drivers so I guess the entire F2 field would also match Bottas? Now that is extreme. Hartley is NOT a good F1 driver. He was rightfully kicked out of Red Bull programme years back and only lucked into a return when the juniors run out. Guys like Buemi and Vergne would do a better job IMO and that's just off the top of my head. Grosjean's repeated crashes makes him a liability, he basically threw away Haas' 4th place in the standings this season. Bottas has had less crashes in his entire F1 career that Grosjean had this season.
  15. Don't think so tbh. The likes of Hartley, Sirotkin or Stroll wouldn't have even won a race in that car. It would have been more one-sided than Alonso/Vandoorne in a McLaren.
  16. Bottas has proven to be a reliable back-up in a championship team though
  17. Maybe but F1 looks at the results first I haven't heard about anyone getting to F1 bc he's great at saving tires or brakes. Moreover there's this thing called money. Sirotkin hasn't set the world on fire in GP2 before and I rate Markelov above him but then again Vitaly Petrov was probably better than both of them. Russell and Norris have factory backing so they have more time on their hands.
  18. This is his fifth season in the feeder series already. He ought to be winning the title either last year or this - and this by a significant margin too. Quite frankly Russell and Norris are doing a much better job considering they're not as experienced in F2 as he is.
  19. Per Paul Tracy: Two broken ankles, a broken arm and possibly some broken vertebrae. Surgery tomorrow. Could have been a lot worse.
  20. You can't seriously expect top class results one week after the EC. Everyone's probably in party mode
  21. Luvo Manyonga 8,53 in the LJ. Sofia Ennaoui 4.02,06 SB finished 3rd behind Hassan and Tsegay.
  22. Riding them and owning them is probably THE difference
  23. I read that Sternlicht's father owns a farm with 14 horses specifically for her Olympic training Guess we can predict one member for the US team in Tokyo already
  24. Even so, a billionaire with connections secures a main spot in the team? Tell me that's a coincidence?
  25. This will be a glorified exhibition now. Nobody gives a damn about any event held AFTER the Masters
