  1. Yes, I'd rather see time trial 50 km. Still remember Lillehammer OG when Jordi Ribo & Sami Repo got plenty of screen time leading at the intervals
  2. Viktoria Forster into 60m semi-finals @hckošice Takacs with 7.15 NR
  3. Yup, this was indicated last year and now it's official. One take about the movie A Real Pain since it was primarily filmed in Poland - city of Lublin to be exact. It's funny since the city major said lately that "Lublin finally played Lublin in the movies" as the city is in relative obscure location on the south-eastern wall and even Poles don't shoot movies there
  4. Konrad Bukowiecki also out in quals but he said he will travel to Indoor Worlds now
  5. Looks like Camille Rast has checked out after World Champs. DNF in Sestriere and now 1.60 secs beind Shiffrin in Are run one
  6. @BiathlonfanJuskeviciute with the fastest time in 60H pentathlon. Saga Vanninen with a PB so lives up to the favorite status in the first event.
  7. Iapichino wins women's LJ ahead of Kaelin & Mihambo. Switzerland lead the medal table so far?
  8. Maksymilian Szwed takes silver in 400 and erases Marek Plawgo's NR from 2002
  9. Crazy pace in 1000 and Skottheim with new ER. Ehammer also over 6500 pts.
  10. Annik Kaelin opens LJ final with 6.90 NR
  11. Garcia with even more impressive fade, leading off the final bend and dropped to 5th Kitliński had to pass too many guys coming from last to 4th in 250 meters.
  12. Wyderka run out of gas in impressive fashio and no 800 final.
  13. Forget Geiger's suit and the fact he also lied about doing the NH control. They actually had video evidence of chip manipulation and since Christian Kathol said there's nothing wrong with the removal procedure he also should be fired ASAP. God knows how many other things he swept under the rug. The noise was too loud and it also happened at World Champs. Ski jumping is losing credibility with every year, they couldn't pretend nothing happened here. Those videos must have been true then and if so then DQ is richly deserved.
  14. Domen Prevc denies Lindvik the double! Hoerl with another individual bronze.
  15. There's a leaked footage with Norwegians unsewing the chips in the suits which takes the whole suit manipulation into a new level.
  16. I asked a journalist on another forum and Turri was DQ because the heel cups were not firmly attached to the shoes. Info comes from GM of the Finnish Athletics Federation.
  17. Not a great run from Święty-Ersetic and she probably goes out in the heats.
  18. Yet he actually lost a place after his leg? You'd won anyway but Bol was fortunate she wasn't boxed in 4th place at the start of her leg. The last UK change probably cost them a silver medal since Belgium had a huge head start.
  19. Bad tactics. You should NEVER attack from last place indoors. It never works out. Calamity in the men's 800 Heat 1. Kitliński got shoved & bumped around like a rag doll.
  20. Femke Bol carried the mixed relay to predictable gold. Van Diepen was particulary useless dropping to 4th place but Bol immediately moved to 2nd place within the first few steps taking advantage of slow last exchange (Nielsen had to look back for the baton twice).
  21. Paweł Wąsek has been passed for the mixed event. Let's see if we can finish higher than 8th
  22. Kowalczyk's coach was from Kazakhstan and yeah, that's the old Soviet school. Her training was very harsh and nobody in Poland could keep up so she was a one-athlete team for majority of her career. Some footballers saw her training in Tatra mountains in the summer and she was running up the hill with a tire attached to her waist with a rope. That's proper Soviet methods or what. The sponsors were not there even after the bronze she won at 2006 OG, remember this was when our ski jumping was still at peak of popularity and Apoloniusz Tajner became the head of Skiing Association which made every other winter sport even less relevant. Kowalczyk only got some serious sponsorship (Orlen, PKO Bank, car manufacturers) after Liberec WC 2009. In late 2000s she still travelled around Europe in a van with coach and two classic skis waxers from Estonia (Are Mets & Peep Koidu) that were the key part of the success (and many other feds wanted to buy them out but they stayed with her). She had different waxers for freestyle skis later on.
  23. Geiger's suit was suspicious as hell based on landing stills that can be found on twitter. Thankfully he didn't win a medal
  24. Due to lack of NH events during World Cup this one is always bound to throw a surprise. Lindvik basically did nothing all season and the Norwegian ski jumping has struggled with all the funding issues but here they are with old on home turf. One bronze is bad for Austria but I'm convinced they'll bounce back on LH
