As I said, now is complete anarchy compared to the old forum. The thing is that users interested in results only visit the results forum so they are not here to give their opinions. Of course the aim is to have all users active 12 months per year but not always that is possible. Also if you do not want your comments about Lithuanian results to be ignored the aim should be the Lithuanian community to grow, and you can help that by posting messages which maybe initially no one will care about

I actually think this forum software is way more user-friendly and much better for the discussion. Also this forum is complete anarchy if you compare it to the "old" Totallympics, and most of the users seem to like anarchy Loosing users is a normal thing and I don't think is related to the software's change, the important thing is to find new ones. We probably lost some users who were just interested in results and not in discussion, that's the reason why they keep visiting the results site and they are not posting their comments in this forum (and in particular in this thread, even though I would need their point of view here ) For some interesting statistics, I suggest you to visit the Leaderboard. And as you said you probably just need to get more used to the forum by spending more time on it

I should have put "push" into quotes, it was just an example and anyway I could open threads too if I want (I also have the right, after all ). And it's not just about the format, I have asked in the past (and in the future I will do it again for sure) to users to open threads (to heywoodu too) so that users can start dicussing about that event some days before the event start, without the needing to discuss about that event in the general discussion thread.

With "pushing" I was talking about competitions's threads. For example for sure there will be a thread about Tour de France 2018, but if I know you are going to open it without any template, I could even open today threads for Tour de France 2018, 2019 and 2020 (it's anarchy isn't it ? ) and be sure I will be the one who opened that thread and I will do and the only one able to edit it (of course it is an exageration).

People ARE free to post what they want, because we are just talking about the first post of the thread, not about the whole thread.

What you want is "format anarchy", but you should also consider this: let's say we have user A who opens threads following a template and user B who opens threads without following any template. This will lead admins (even unconsciously) to push user A to open more and more threads, hoping he will open threads before user B so that the format admins want is applied. The natural solution for this is that admins do not care if user A or user B opens the thread, because the format will be the same anyway.

The thing is, as you see everyone would like a different name, so the most "democratic" solution, even if it could not sound so democratic, is that admins decide. This is what admins are here for
