Ace wrestler Navjot Kaur scripted history by becoming the first :IND woman wrestler to win a gold in the Senior Asian Championships as she clinched the yellow metal in the 65kg freestyle category in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan on Friday. :thumbup:

Sakshi won the bronze in the 62kg freestyle category after getting better of Kazakhstan's Ayaulym Kassymova 10-7

 

The two medals now took India's overall tally to six, which consisted a gold, a silver and four bronze medals

Asian Games organisers drop shooting events

The Asian Games organisers have removed the below shooting events.

 

The dropped events: Men (15): 25m centre fire pistol (individual and team); 25m rapid fire (team); 25m standard pistol (individual and team); 50m pistol (individual and team); 10m air pistol (team); 10m air rifle (team); 50m prone (individual and team); 50m 3P (team); trap (team); double trap (team) and skeet (team).

 

Women (9): 25m pistol (team); 10m air pistol (team); 10m air rifle (team); 50m prone (individual and team); 50m 3P (team); trap (team); double trap (team) and skeet (team).
