Sumit Nagal became the first India to win a singles match in Olympics Tennis after Leander Paes

Sai Praneeth disappoints because he lost to lower ranked opponent.

We need to celebrate the new milestones created by our athletes rather than sobbing on the failures. Though we should have got more medals today but the list of accomplishments by our athletes make me feel happy.

Yes had no hopes on him at all. His recent results showed that he had no confidence at all. Its sad to see our top rated baddy play so horrible.

You are right on first day overall performance of our athletes are better than earlier Olympics.

A close first match in Hockey with a narrow 3- 2 victory over NZ. But happy to see Sreejesh perform so well.

Our rowers too were not that bad actually. If they make the SF which they should based on todays timings though its not the parameter would be very happy.
