Shushila had a very good favorable draw to go deep in the tournament. Garima had a fair chance too. Had heard of one guy missing the tournament but didn't know that none would go.

News coming that one of the Indian team members tested positive for Covid-19 just a day before the official weighing in on April 5. As per the protocols of Asian Judo Federation, if any team member tests positive for coronavirus, the whole team can't take part in the continental competition. Divanshu (81kg) and Ajay Yadav (73kg) had tested earlier hence they were pulled out of tournament.
