Every nation shall be represented in Swimming and Athletics in both gender. So it's a formality of confirmation of Maana Patel's quota

Dutee Chand, men’s 4x400m relay team seal Tokyo 2020 berths

 

In the women’s 100m and 200m races, 56 entries each were slotted for Tokyo 2020. Dutee Chand was ranked 41st in the 100m and 51st in the 200m, thus making the cut.

 

Meanwhile, the teams for the men’s 4x400m are chosen based on their performance at the two designated qualifying events - the 2019 World Athletics Championships and the 2021 World Relays and rankings for Tokyo 2020.
