There has been so such mention any way other than the face off between Sushil and Narsingh

I think Indian federation has already assured International wrestling officials that Geeta will not be consider for the Olympics if India wins quota in her category.

ABP has reported today that other wrestlers might go to court demanding trials too-if Susheel is granted a trial against narsingh. So the Wrestling federation is now in two minds about granting susheel a Chance.

may be for the best ...Sushil has not been participating at all while Narsingh won a world championship medal to qualify ...................................can we take the risk for all sushils greatness

I think eventually we will have to have trials in all categories. There is no way Sushil is not getting a chance, unless he backs out himself. Further, even Amit deserves a chance considering he has been our best 57kg wrestler for a while and was injured at the selection trials. As a reuslt, good chance there will be final trials in all categories.

Though Geeta probably will not be allowed to enter due to the stupid ban which is the most ridiculous thing I have heard in Indian sport for a while. And it should be noted that there has been absolutely no official statement from the world body UWW about the ban. It seems like the useless WFI pres could not handle a few words from UWW president Lalovic and took it out on Babita and Geeta thus possibly costing us one spot.

And by the way, even before the ban, Sakshi had been selected for this tournament (and also for the Asian qualifier) ahead of Geeta. So Geeta being banned did not really affect the qualification but Babita's ban cost us...I guess for our mental peace we'll have to just assume that Babita wouldn't have made it in any case due to an extremely tough draw (Babita's name was even part of the draw yesterday before being replaced by Lalita - so have to assume Babita would have got the same draw)

They should give same weightage to all players, if sushil is winner of 2008 & 2012 than others are future winners. Please dont start vip culture in sports, if trail for sushil took place than it should be done for all. Sushil is great player, he has made us proud, but why his greatness becomes the cause of unjustice for narsingh?

There's no question of Sushil at this 11th hour, Narsingh has been doing a great job in the last couple of years while Sushil was mostly out, we can't live in the past. Maybe Sushil could have given it a try in 86Kg category, but Gopal has been selected here, let's see how he does.
