2026 Week 10 (09 - 15 Mar) Results:

 

Time to start clearing the backlog of results....

 

Aquatics - Swimming:

Edinburgh International Meet (13 - 15 Mar) - The results of the Meet have been posted in the GB Swimming thread. 

 

Badminton:

Yonex Swiss Open 2026 (10 - 15 Mar) Kirsty Gilmour withdrew before the event commenced. 

 

In the Men's Doubles, Christopher Grimley and Matthew Grimley came close to upsetting 7th seed :DEN Daniel Lundgaard and Mads Vestergaard. Alexander Dunn and Adam Pringle lost to 6th seed :TPE Fang-Chih Lee and Fang-Jen Lee 12-21 18-21. Oliver Butler and Samuel Jones lost in round 2 to Christian Faust Kjaer and Rasmus Kjaer 14-21 14-21. 

 

Alexander Dunn and Julie MacPherson withdrew from the Mixed Doubles, giving :DEN Mads Vestergaard and Christine Busch a walkover. Callum Hemming and Estelle Van Leeuwen lost 17-21 7-21 to 2nd seed :DEN Mathias Christiansen and Alexandra Boje. 

 

Baseball:

2026 World Baseball Classic (09 Mar)- :GBR finished their Pool games with a 8-1 victory over :BRA. With that win, they finished 15th overall. 

 

Basketball:

2027 Women's EuroBasket Qualifying :GBR continued the 1st stage of qualifying with a 77-58 win over :SUI and a 83-71 win over :AUT

 

Cycling - BMX Freestyle:

Ride the Dragon:  - There were quite a few Brits taking part in Lithuania. Michael Hullock won the men's event with Miller Temple also making the podium in 3rd. Reece Dabreo finished in 6th whilst Tyler Wainwright finished in 10th. Devon Low was down in 25th place.

 

In the women's event, :GBR took a 1-2 with Sasha Pardoe taking the win ahead of Holly Pipe. Worth saying that there were only 5 competitors in the women's event.

 

Cycling - BMX Racing:

European Cup Legs I and II (13-14 Mar): Ross Cullen did the double, winning both of the Men's Elite races.  in the first leg. Matthew Gilston finished in 13th in Race 1 and 6th in Race 2. Kye Whyte took a 17th and 8th. Callum Russell was 32nd in Race 1 and 23rd in Race 2. Finally, Jos Marnham was 45th and 65th. 

 

In the women's races, Bethany Shriever took 8th in Race 1 before winning Race 2. Emily Hutt was 3rd in Race 1 followed by 14th in Race 2. Also worth saying that in the women's under-23 races, Sienna Harvey took a 2nd and 15th with Betsy Bax finishing in 7th and 6th. 

 

Cycling - Road:

Paris-Nice (08-15 Mar) - Josh Tarling was the top finishing Brit in 25th. Robert Donaldson was 41st with Samuel Watson in 46th and Max Walker in 50th. Lewis Askey was down in 56th

 

Tirreno-Adriatico (09-15 Mar) - Mark Donovan finished in 17th overall. Lukas Nerurkar was in 55th with James Shaw in 73rd. Oliver Peace was down in 86th with Connor Swift in 98th. The rest of the Brits finished outside of the top-100.  

 

Trofeo Alfredo Binda - Comune di Cittiglio (15-Mar) - Pfeiffer Georgi finished in 13th place with Cat Ferguson in 22nd. Alice Towers and Lauren Dickson were in 29th and 30th respectively, Flora Perkins also finished in the points in 52nd. 

 

Equestrian - Dressage:

FEI Dressage World Cup - 's-Hertogenbosch (12-15 Mar) Charlotte Fry took second place in the Grand Prix with score of 78.022 behind :BEL Justin Verboomen's score of 78.457. The result was repeated in the Grand Prix Freestyle to Music with Fry scoring 89.085 to Verboomen's 89.205. 

 

Fencing:

FIE Westend Grand Prix Individual Epee (13 Mar) - Event has been postponed to April. 

 

Golf:

PGA: The Players Championships (12-15 Mar) - Matt Fitzpatrick was the runner up on -12 with Rober MacIntyre in 4th on -10. Tommy Fleetwood also had a top-10 finish with -8 securing a tie for 8th overall. Justin Rose scored -6 for a tie for 13th. Harry Hall, Aaron Rai, Marco Penge and Jordan Smith all missed the cut.

 

Ladies European Tour: Women's Australian Open (12-15 Mar) - Darcey Harry finished in a tie for 7th on -4 ahead of Annabell Fuller in 10th on -3. Alice Hewson finished on +3 in 29th. Lydia Hall, Chloe Williams and Gemma Clews scored +4 and finished in a tie for 34th. Esme Hamilton finished in 41st on +5. Cara Gainer's +7 was enough for 49th. Hannah Screen was down in 52nd place with a score of +8 and Meghan MacLaren was in 60th with +11. The rest of the Brits missed the cuts. 

 

Gymnastics - Artistic:

FIG Apparatus World Cup (12-15 Mar) Courtney Tulloch took silver on the Rings with score of 14.333 behind :TUR Adem Asil on 14.533.  Remell Robinson-Bailey qualified for the final of the Vault and finished in 5th place with score of 13.450.

 

Gymnastics - Trampoline:

FIG Trampoline World Cup (12-13 Mar) - Team :GBR were due to send a team of 5 to :NEDbut we now know that GB Gymnastics have suspended their trampoline program. 

 

Judo:

Warsaw European Open 2026 (14-15 Mar): Rory Tyrrell finished 7th in the Men's -81Kg whilst both Kenneth Harris (Men's -90Kg) and Joshua Whitehouse (Men's +100Kg) lost in the first round. 

 

On the women's side, Ashleigh Barnikel (-48Kg), Lele Nairne (-57Kg) and Rachel Hawkes (-70Kg) all lost in their first fight. 

 

Rugby SVNS:

New York (14-15 Mar) This is easily the most depressing sport to follow for Team :GBRright now. Whatever they are doing in the squad is just not working - and if anything, the results have been getting worse.

 

On the women's side, :GBR still haven't won a match - across 5 separate fixtures! This week, :GBR lost to :NZL 46-5, :FRA 31-19 and :FIJ 36-12 in the pool matches. In the 5th place semifinal, they lost to :JPN 31-14 and they were condemned to another last place finish with a 22-14 defeat at the hands of :CAN

 

On the men's side, :GBR lost to :ESP 24-14 (This is an example of the regression of the British squad as in the earlier rounds, they had consistently been able to defeat the Spanish team). They then went down to a defeat at the hands of :FIJ 24-19. The sole bright spot of the weekend was a 19-14 victory over :ARG. In the 5th place semifinal, it was a 31-24 loss to :NZL. A second defeat at the hands of :ESP (24-12) condemned the Brits to last place. 

 

Squash:

Australian Open (10-15 Mar): Joel Makin was the 2nd seed and finished as runner up to top seed :NZL Paul Coll - 19-17 11-4 14-12. 4th seed Jonah Bryant also performed according to his seeding after reaching the semifinals.

 

7th seed Curtis Malik. went out in the second round whilst both Patrick Rooney and Simon Herbert exited in the first round.

 

In the women's draw, the Brits - Grace Gear, Alicia Mead and Torrie Malik - were all out by the end of the second round. 

 

Calgary CFO Consulting Services Women's Squash Week (11-15 Mar): Georgia Adderley was the top seed and made it to the semifinals. Millie Tomlinson and Kiera Marshall both went out in the second round whilst Lowri Roberts was a first round casualty. 

 

Table Tennis:

WTT Feeder Otocec 2026 (07-11 Mar): Tom Jarvis was the 4th seed for the Men's Singles and progressed to the semifinals where he lost a tight battle against 8th seed :SWE Mattias Karlsson 8-11 11-9 6-11 11-8 14-16. Connor Green made it through to the quarterfinals where he came pretty close to causing an upset against 3rd seed :JPN Kazuki hamada. He ultimately lost out 9-11 11-7 4-1 11-6 16-18. Samuel Walker lost in the first round to :ITA Mihai Bobocica 12-14 11-9 8-11 11-7 4-11. Green and Walker paired up in the Men's Doubles and lost out in the first round to 4th seed :JPN Kazuki Hamada and Kanta Tokuda - 11-13 8-11 5-11. 

 

In the Women's Singles Tin-Tin Ho got to the last 16 where she lost to 15th seed :JPN Kotomi Omoda 15-17 7-11 9-11. Worth saying that in the previous round she had a fairly comfortable victory over the 2nd seed :CRO Lea Rakovac.   

 

WTT Champions Chongqing 2026 (10-15 Mar): Anna Hursey got to the round of 16 with a 14-12 5-11 11-9 11-8 win over :IND Sreeja Akula. In the last 16, Hursey went down to a straight set defeat to 8th seed :JPN Miwa Harimoto - 11-13 10-12 7-11. 

 

Taekwondo:

Dutch Open 2026 (15 Mar):

Not a great tournament for the Brits with first round losses for Finn Labong (Men's -54Kg); Theoharys Stavropoulos (Men's -80Kg); Lauren Dunsmore (Women's -46Kg); Emily Clark (Women's -49Kg); Judy Marton (Women's -53Kg) and Ruby Lee (Women's -53Kg). Aysa Khorshidi made it to the quarterfinals of the Women's -46Kg. Matthew Howell was the stand-out performance taking bronze in the Men's -68Kg.

2026 Week 11 (16-22 Mar) Results:

 

 

Athletics:

2026 World Athletics Indoor Championships (20-22 Mar) - Event covered in more detail in the GB Athletics Thread.   

 

Badminton:

Orleans Masters 2026 (17-22 Mar) - Having withdrawn from the Swiss Open in the previous week, Kirsty Gilmour also withdrew from this event before it got underway. Harry Huang was trying to qualify for the main draw but lost in the first round. 

 

In the Men's Doubles, Alexander Dunn and Adam Pringle were given a walkover to round 2 where they lost to :IND Hariharan Amsakarunan and M R Arjun 24-26 14-21. Christopher Grimley and Matthew Grimley retired from their first-round match whilst trailing 14-18 to :JPN Hiroki Okamura and Kyohei Yamashita.  Alex Green and Zach Russ also lost in the first round, defeated by 6th seed :JPN Kakeru Kumagai and Hiroki Nishi 12-21 16-21.  

 

In the Women's Doubles, Julie Macpherson and Ciara Torrance withdrew from their first-round match giving 6th seed :FRA Margot Lambert and Camille Pognante a walkover.  

 

Alexander Dunn and Julie MacPherson went out in the last 16 of the Mixed Doubles to 5th seed :CHN Xing Cheng and Chi Zhang 14-21 19-21. Likewise, Callum Hemming and Estelle Van Leeuwen also made it to the last 16 where they lost out to :JPN Yuta Watanabe and Maya Taguchi 9-21 12-21. 

 

Polish Open 2026 (18-22 Mar) - Cholan Kayan lost out to 7th seed :DEN William Bogebjerg 14-21 18-21 in the first round. 

 

Robin Harper and Harry Wakefield were runners up after losing the final to 2nd seeds :GER Malik Bourakkadi and Kenneth Neumann 18-21 8-21. Oliver Butler and Samuel Jones were the 3rd seeds and got to the semifinals before also falling to the 2nd seeds 21-16 9-21 17-21. 

 

3rd seeds Abbygael Harris and Lizzie Tolman took the Women's Doubles title in Lodz with a 23-21 21-16 victory over :JPN Rui Kiyama and Sona Yonemoto. Kiyama and Yonemoto had taken out Lisa Curtin and Sian Kelly 21-19 21-17 in the semifinals.  

 

Oliver Butler and Abbygael Harris went out in the quarterfinals of the Mixed Doubles after a 19-21 21-14 22-24 loss to :TUR Bugra Aktas and Sinem Yildiz. Samuel Jones and Lizzie Tolman reached the semifinals before losing out to :JPN Hiroki Midorikawa and Nami Matsuyama 10-21 10-21. 

 

Basketball:

2027 Women's EuroBasket Qualifying :GBR wrapped up the first stage of their Eurobasket qualifying with a 68-55 victory over :NOR to secure top spot in Pool D.  

 

Cycling - Road:

Milano-Torino (18-Mar) - Simon Carr and Tom Pidcock took the win with Tao Geoghegan Hart in 23rd and Paul Double in 28th. Simon Carr was DNF. 

 

Danilith Nokere Koerse (18-Mar) - Ben Wiggins finished in 62nd place with Joshua Giddings down in 90th place. Joseph Pidcock was DNF in the men's event.  Erin Boothman was the best of the Brits in the women's event in 23rd. Josie Nelson was down in 63rd with Carys Lloyd in 70th. The rest of the Brits were DNF.

 

Grand Prix De Denain - Porte Du Hainaut (19-Mar) - Fred Wright finished well down the field in 81st whilst Oliver Stockwell was DNF. 

 

Bredene Koksijde Classic (20-Mar) - Joshua Giddings finished in 18th place with Joseph Pidcock in 38th and Robert Donaldson down in 91st place. 

 

Milano-Sanremo Donne (21-Mar) - Pfeiffer Georgi and Cat Ferguson finished in 11th and 12th respectively. Alice Towers just missed out on a points place finish in 62nd with Millie Couzens in 66th and Josie Nelson in 74th. Flora Perkins was down in 95th with Francesca Hall in 131st.  

 

Milano-Sanremo (21-Mar) - Tom Pidcock was runner up to :SLO Tadej Pogacar. Mark Donovan finished in 34th; Fred Wright in 52nd and Bjoern Koerdt in 66th. Oliver Peace was down in 115th place, Josh Tarling in 125th and Lewis Askey in 127th. Owain Doull was 136th with Sam Brand and Hamish Armitt in 140th and 141st respectively. Connor Swift was down in 159th ahead of Ben Turner in 162nd.

 

Fencing:

FIE Foil Grand Prix (20-21 Mar) - Harry Bird, Jaimie Cook, Joe Donaghue, Luca Florea, Louis Guennou,

 

Jake Hurst and Harry Bird finished in 66th and 67th place respectively, ahead of Joe Donaghue in 70th. Louis Guennou was in 81st with Jamie Cook in a tie for 84th and Kamal Minott in 96th. Maxwell Jones (109th), Alberto Mascioli (113th), David Williams (121st), Luc Florea (123rd), Camille Perrin (130th) and Rafael Rhys Pollitt (139th) all missed out on the elimination round. Georgia Gardner was the only Brit competing in the women's event. She finished well down the field in 125th out of a field of 134. 

 

Golf:

PGA: Valspar Championship (19-22 Mar) - Matt Fitzpatrick took the title on the Copperhead course with a score of -11 with Jordan Smith finishing 3rd on -9 and Marco Penge in a tie for 4th on -8. David Skinns finished on -2 in a tie for 30th overall. Matt Wallace's -1 was good enough for a tie for 40th place. John Parry finished in a tie for 55th place on +1. The rest of the Brits missed the cut. 

 

Ladies European Tour: Australian WPGA Championship (19-22 Mar) - Meghan MacLaren was the highest placed Brit in 4th on -10. Annabell Fuller finished on -8 in a tie for 7th. Gemma Clews was in a tie for 18th on -3. -1 was enough to take Amy Taylor to a tie for 27th. Esme Hamilton (Par) was in 30th; (+1) was in 36th with Kelsey Macdonald and Charlotte Heath in a tie for 41st on +2. Finally, Billie-Jo Smith was on +7 in 59th. The rest of the Brits missed the cut. 

 

LPGA: Fortinet Founders Cup (19-22 Mar)Lottie Woad was the best of the Brits in a tie for 14th on -8 ahead of Jodi Ewart Shadoff on -7 in a tie for 19th. Mimi Rhodes missed the cut.

 

Hainan Classic (19-22 Mar) Marcus Armitage finished on -15 in a tie for 3rd, ahead of Euan Walker on -14 in a tie for 6th. Eddie Pepperell and Andy Sullivan scored -13 for a tie for 9th. Dan Bradbury's -10 was enough for a tie for 17th. Brendan Robinson Thompson was -8 for 23rd, just ahead of Matthew Jordan on -7 in 28th. Daniel Young finished on -5 in a tie for 34th. Matthew Baldwin, Ross Fisher and Calum Hill all scored -4 and were in a tie for 45th. David Law's -3 was enough for 51st. Jack Senior finished in a tie for 55th on -2. Matt Killen finished on level par in tie for 62nd and finally, Grant Forrest scored +3 to finish in tie for 66th. The rest of the Brits missed the cut. 

 

Gymnastics - Artistic:

British Championships (21-22 Mar) - Event will be covered in more detail on the GB Gymnastics thread.

 

Judo:

Tbilisi Grand Slam 2026 (20-22 Mar): 

In the men's weight classes, Benjamin Levy (-73Kg) lost in his first fight whilst Ethan Nairne (-73Kg) and Oliver Barratt (-100Kg) got to the last 16 of their events. In the women's events, Tatum Keen was the runner up in the -52Kg weight class whilst Acelya Toprak (-57Kg) and Emma Reid (-78Kg) both finished in 5th after winning their respective pools. Kelley Petersen Polard (-70Kg) and Shelley Ludford (-78Kg) lost in the first round of their events. 

 

Taekwondo:

Belgian Open 2026 (21 Mar):

Men's -54Kg: Finn Labong and Thomas Bailey both lost in the round of 32. 

Men's -58Kg: Alexander Sherratt took the title, defeating :CHN Cheng Kai 2:1. Zack Sarsoza got to the last 16 whilst Ibrahim Hussain went out in the round of 32. 

Men's -63Kg: Alfie Whitfield and Manuel Grande both exited in the round of 32 whilst Adam Akrich lost in the first round.

Men's -68Kg: Matthew Howell took bronze. Antonio Buonaiuto made it to the last 16 whilst Ben Harrison made it to the round of 32. Bradley France and Tomi Makanjuola both lost in the first round. 

Men's -74Kg: Abdallah Grayson-Cadogan lost in the first round whilst Max Cartwright lost in round 2. 

Men's -80Kg: Both Dantrell Knight-Mitchell and Sohrab Alipour reached the last 16 whilst Zak Angell and Christian Langridge both lost in the round of 32

Men's +87Kg: Caden Cunningham lost in the round of 16.

Women's -46Kg: Etta Choi lost in the round of 16.

Women's -49Kg: Phoenix Goodman reached the quarterfinal whilst Maisie Hockey lost in the first round.  

Women's -53Kg: Jodie McKew went out in the round of 16 whilst Ruby Lee lost in the second round. 

Women's -57Kg: Beth Christy and Teigan Smith lost in the round of 16 whilst Lily Kingsley lost in the round of 32.

Women's -67Kg: Chloe Roberts lost in the round of 16. Grace Gambrill lost in the first round.

Women's -73Kg: Rebecca McGowan took bronze after defeat in the semifinals to eventual champion :CHN Song Jie. Ruby Mackay made it to the quarterfinals. 

Women's +73Kg: Lauren Williams was the runner up, losing to :TUR Nafia Kus Aydin 2:0.

 

Tennis:

Miami Open (17-29 Mar): Both Emma Raducanu and Sonay Kartal withdrew before the event got underway. Fran Jones defeated :USA Venus Williams 7-5 7-5 in round 1, but she was forced to retire from her second round match when trailing 1-6 0-3 to 5th seed :USA Jessica Pegula. Finally, Katie Boulter had a decent run, defeating :ESP Jessica Bouzas Maneiro 7-6 6-4 in round 1 and advancing when 17th seed :DEN Clara Tauson retired whilst trailing 7-6 4-6 0-1. Her run came to an end when she went down to a 3-6 5-7 defeat to 13th seed :CZE Karolina Muchova in the round of 32. 

 

In the men's draw, Jack Draper was the 25th seed and had a bye to the second round where he lost to :USA Reilly Opelka 7-6 7-6. Cameron Norrie was also a casualty in round 2, with the 23rd seed losing to :USA Alex Michelsen 5-7 7-6 4-6. Jacob Fearnley retired from his opening round match whilst trailing 0-6 to :USA Martin Damm. Arthur Fery secured probably his biggest result to date on tour when he qualified for the main draw - he would lose in the first round to :GRE Stefanos Tsitsipas 1-6 6-7.

 

In the doubles, Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool were the second seeds and went out in the 2nd round.

2026 Week 12 (23-29 Mar) Results:

 

 

Aquatics - Artistic Swimming:

World Aquatics Artistic Swimming 2026 World Cup II (27-29 Mar) - :GBR sent team of 7 to Paris. Katie Shortman and Isabelle Thorpe took bronze in the Women's Duet Technical with score of 287.825 whilst Ranjuo Tomblin took silver in both the Men's Solo Technical (238.9359) and the Men's Solo Free (235.2038). Thorpe and Tomblin then teamed up to take the bronze in the Mixed Duet Free with score of 249.1125. 

 

Aquatics - Open Water Swimming:

World Aquatics Open Water Swimming 2026 World Cup I (27-29 Mar) - Ella Dyson was the only Brit competing in :EGY Somabay and finished in 20th place in the Women's 10km event. 

 

Cycling - BMX Freestyle:

Lloyds National BMX Freestyle Series I (28-29 Mar) - A small field got even smaller with just 4 athletes taking part in each event. In the Men's Park event, Jordan Clark took the title ahead of Reef Way and Miller Temple. In the Women's Park event, Elsa Rendall Todd took the win ahead of Sasha Pardoe. Kitty Joseph took 4th.

 

Cycling - Road:

Volta Ciclista a Catalunya (23-29 Mar) - 8 Brits started the event, but only 4 would finish the course. Oscar Onley was the best of the Brits, finishing in 12th place. The rest were well down the field with Paul Double in 98th, Ethan Vernon in 117th and Mark Stewart in 121st. Tom Pidcock was sitting in 2nd overall going into the 6th stage when he suffered a serious crash which forced him to withdraw.

 

Tour of Bruges (25-26 Mar) - Ben Turner was the best of the Brits in the men's event with an 18th place finish. Joshua Giddings was 39th, Sean Flynn was 46th with Samuel Watson in 50th. Connor Swift was well down the field in 81st, Oliver Stockwell in 85th and Robert Donaldson in 90th. 

 

In the women's event, Carys Lloyd took the win ahead of :ITA Elisa Balsamo. Zoe Backstedt also finished in the points with an 18th placed finish. Robyn Clay was 83rd, Millie Couzens 102nd and Elynor Backstedt was 104th (and last of the finishers) 

 

E3 Saxo Classic (27-Mar) - Fred Wright was the highest placed Brit in 51st. Samuel Watson missed out on a points finish in 61st. Bjorn Koerdt was down in 93rd, Max Walker was 98th and Owain Doull finished in 100th place. Josh Tarling was down in 108th with Connor Swift in 111th. The rest of the Brits were DNF. 

 

Gent-Wevelgem in Flanders Fields (29-Mar) - Robert Donaldson was the highest place Brit in the men's event in 5th place. Samel Watson finished in 17th. Lewis Askey was the only other Brit to finish in the points in 40th. Matthew Brennan was well down the field in 99th, Owain Doull was 105th, whilst Josh Tarling was 106th. The rest of the Brits failed to finish. 

 

In the women's event, Pfeiffer Georgi finished in 12th place, with Imogen Wolff in 18th and Cat Ferguson in 21st. Zoe Backstedt finished in 35th place. Flora Perkins finished in 53rd place with Millie Couzens in 56th. Josie Nelson just missed out on a points scoring finish in 61st. Robyn Clay and Carys Lloyd were both DNF. 

 

Fencing:

FIE Epee World Cup (Individual & Team) (26-29 Mar) - Cador Beautyman was the highest placed Brit in Astana :KAZ in 80th pace. William East finished in 104th with Benjamin Andrews in 212th and Charlie Lutyens-Humfrey in 234th.  

 

FIE Sabre World Cup (Individual & Team) (26-29 Mar) - Maria Chart finished in 114th and Jenna Bray finished in 145th in Tashkent :UZB

 

In the men's event taking place in Budapest :HUN, William Deary finished in 49th place with Barnaby Halliwell in 86th. Samuel Allen was 139th, Jonathan Webb 172nd, Luke Haynes 191st and Olympios Gougoulias in 198th. Max Cromie (206th), Liam Croft (208th), Mattia Plastow (216th), Eiger Swinscow (222nd) and Ian Ho (225th) were all well down the field. 

 

In the team event, Allen, Deary, Halliwell and Webb combined to finish down in 22nd place. 

 

Golf:

PGA: Texas Children's Houston Open (26-29 Mar) - Harry Hall was the highest placed Brit in Houston. His -7 was enough for a tie for 28th. -6 took Paul Waring to a tie for 39th. Jordan Smith was in a tie for 44th on -5 with John Parry on -4 in tie for 48th. Matt Wallace was in a tie for 51st on -3 with Danny Willett a shot further back in a tie for 56th. Aaron Rai and Dan Brown both missed the cut. 

 

 

LPGA: Ford Championship (26-29 Mar) Mimi Rhodes was originally shown as a reserve for the event but went on to finish in a tie for 6th place on -18. Lottie Woad was in a tie for 34th on -11. Charley Hull, Gemma Dryburgh and Jodi Ewart Shadoff all missed the cut. 

 

DPT: Hero Indian Open (26-29 Mar) Alex Fitzpatrick took the title in New Delhi on -9. Andy Sullivan was in a tie for 3rd on -5. Ewen Ferguson and Calum Hill were in a tie for 6th on -3. David Law's -2 was enough for a tie for 9th with Euan Walker on -1 in a tie for 11th. James Morrison (+4) was in tie for 24th, Matthew Jordan (+5) in tie for 29th with Daniel Young (+6) in tie for 31st. Matthew Baldwin, Joe Dean and Jack Senior all scored +7 and finished in a tie for 34th. Cameron Adam finished in a tie for 43rd on +10. Grant Forrest (+12), Brandon Robinson Thompson (+13) and Dan Bradbury (+14) were all well down the field. The rest of the Brits missed the cut. 

 

Sailing:

Trofeo SAR Princesa Sofia (27 Mar - 04-Apr) - Will cover the results in more detail on the GB Sailing thread. 

 

Shooting:

ISSF Shotgun World Cup (25 Mar - 03-Apr) - A strong :GBR team should be making the trip to Tangier :MAR.

Men's Skeet: Ben Llewellin, Mitchell Brooker Smith No Brits made the final. Arran Eccleston was the highest finisher in 13th with Mitchell Brooker-Smith in 31st and Ben Llewellin in 33rd. Dominic Cooper and Hugh Westminster were competing for ranking points and finished in 42nd and 43rd respectively. 

 

Women's Skeet:  Bethany Norton took the title with a new Junior World Record in the final. 

 

Men's Trap: Having been the top qualifier for the final, Nathan Hales missed out on a medal finishing in 4th place. Tom Betts finished qualifying in 33rd whilst Matt Coward-Holley had an event to forget as he finished down in 70th place. 

 

Women's Trap: Ellie Seward missed out on the final with score of 112 and 12th place. Maddie Purser finished in 35th. 

 

Neither of the British squads in the Mixed Team Trap threatened the final - Coward-Holley and Seward finished in 12th whilst Hales and Purser were down in 21st. 

 

Squash:

Optasia Championships (24-29 Mar):  Joel Makin was the 4th seed and reached the semifinals. 6th seed Marwan ElShorbagy and 7th seed Mohamed ElShorbagy also performed to their ranking, with both reaching the quarterfinals. 

 

Jonah Bryant, Declan James and Curtis Malik made it to the second round, whilst Sam Todd, Patrick Rooney and Sam Osborne-Wylde lost in the first round. 

 

Georgina Kennedy was the 4th seed and reached the semifinals. For the rest of the Brits, it was a tournament to forget with Jasmine Hutton and Lucy Turmel both losing their opening matches.

2026 Week 13 (13-19 Apr) Events:

 

 

Aquatics - Swimming:

Aquatics National Championships (14-19 Apr) - The key qualifying event for this year's European Championships and the Commonwealth Games, expect all of the big names to be in attendance (barring illness or injury). Will be covered in more detail in the GB Swimming thread.  

 

Aquatics - Diving:

American Cup (16-19 Apr) - Team :GBR have announced a team of 10 for the event taking place in Fort Lauderdale - Leon Baker, Desharne Bent-Ashmeil, Maisie Bond, Eden Cheng, Todd Geggus, Kyle Kothari, Noah Penman, Amy Rollinson, Louis Toulson and Noah Williams.

 

Badminton:

Malta International 2026 (16-19 Apr) - Nadeem Dalvi will take on :MRI Lucas Douce in the first round of the Men's Singles whilst Sid Palakkal will take on 2nd seed :POL Mikolaj Szymanowski. 

 

In the Men's Doubles, Robin Harper and Harry Wakefield are the top seeds and have a bye to the round of 16. They are joined in the main draw by Evan Kenny and Josh Taylor who will take on :HUN Zoltan Kereszti and Marton Szerecz in the first round. 

 

There are two British pairings in the Women's Doubles - Susanna Ogden with Carly Stevenson and Mili Patel with Kayleigh Ann Williams both have a bye to the last 16. 

 

In the Mixed Doubles, Robin Harper is paired with Yulia Tang, Rowan Clark is teamed with Susanna Ogden and Llwyd Crump will compete with Mili Patel.

 

Cycling - Road:

Liege-Bastogne-Liege (18-Apr) - Pending confirmation of the start list. 

 

La Fleche Brabanconne (17-Apr) - Assuming Tom Pidcock has recovered from his recent injury, he is due to compete. Joseph Blackmore and Lukas Nerurkar also appear on the start list. Anna Henderson, Millie Couzens and Becky Storrie are among the Brits competing in the women's event.

 

Cycling - Track:

UCI Nations Cup II - Hong Kong (16-19 Apr) - After the disruption of the first Nations Cup event in Melbourne, Team :GBR are sending a pretty full strength squad. Event will be covered in more detail in the GB Cycling thread.

 

Equestrian - Dressgae:

2026 FEI Dressage Nations Cup - Fontainebleau (16-19 Apr) - Fiona Bigwood, Charlotte Fry, Carl Hester and Lewis Carrier are all scheduled to compete

 

Football:

2027 FIFA World Cup Qualifying (14-Apr) - :ENG women continue their World Cup qualifying campaign with what is likely to be their toughest pool match against :ESP.

 

Golf:

PGA: RBC Heritage (16-19 Apr) - Matt Fitzpatrick, Tommy Fleetwood, Harry Hall, Robert MacIntyre, Jordan Smith, Matt Wallace and Justin Rose will be competing at Hilton Head.

 

Ladies European Tour: Joburg Ladies Open (16-19 Apr) - Cara Gainer, Alice Hewson, Darcey Harry, Annabell Fuller, Hannah Screen, Lydia Hall, Esme Hamilton, Hannah Burke, Lily May Humphreys, Amy Taylor, Gemma Clews, Charlotte Heath, Hannah Darling,  Meghan MacLaren, Thalia Kirby, Jess Baker, Ellen Hume, Lianna Bailey, Hayley Davis, Lorna McClymont, Laura Beveridge and Thalia Martin are competing. 

 

Judo:

2026 European Senior Championships (16-19 Apr) - The squad announced for the European Championships is probably a bit light given the relatively good start to the season the team has had. Charlie Ayre will compete at -60Kg with Charlie Young at -66Kg. Both Ben Levy and Ethan Nairne will compete at -73Kg. Oliver Barratt competing at -100Kg will complete the men's squad. In the women's squad, Tatum Keen will compete at -52Kg with Acelya Toprak in the -57Kg division. Kelly Petersen-Pollard will compete at -70Kg with both Emma Reid and Shelley Ludford competing at -78Kg. 

 

Rugby Svns:

2026 SVNS World Championships - Hong Kong (17-19 Apr) - Am not expecting a huge amount from Team :GBR. The form for both the men's and women's teams has been pretty woeful in the last couple of fixtures so unless they're going to be inspired by the dim sum I don't see much changing. Or maybe the musical delights of the Vengaboys will be enough to lift their performance :facepalm:

GB women have been drawn against :CAN:AUS and :RSA whilst the GB men will start their pool against :FRA followed by :FIJ and :GER

 

Squash:

Bermuda Open (14-18 Apr) - Nathan Lake is the 7th seed whilst Nick Wall is the 8th seed and both have a first round bye. Finnlay Withington will take on :EGY Mohamed Sharaf in the first round with the winner taking on top seed :EGY Kareem El Torkey. 

 

Lucy Turmel is the 2nd seed in the women's event and has a bye to the second round. 

 

Sportwerk Open (15-19 Apr) - Patrick Rooney will face :SUI David Bernet with the winner taking on top seed :EGY Youssef Soliman in round 2. 

Adrian Waller will take on Sam Todd in the first round with the winner taking on 6th seed :IND Abhay Singh. Rory Stewart will take on :EGY Mazen Hesham with the winner taking on 2nd seed :EGY Aly Abou Eleinen. 

 

In the women's event, Jasmine Hutton is the 3rd seed whilst Katie Malliff is the 6th seed - both have 1st round bye. Millie Tomlinson will take on :GER Katerina Tycova in the first round whilst Kiera Marshall will face Marie Stephan for the right to play top seed :EGY Salma Hany in round 2. 

 

Table Tennis:

WTT Feeder - Havirov (13-17 Apr) - Anna Hursey and Tin-Tin Ho are both due to be competing in the Women's Singles event. 

 

Tennis:

WTA250 - Open Capfinances Rouen Metropole (13-19 Apr) - Katie Boulter will take on :FRA Elsa Jacquemot in the first round. 

 

ATP500 - Barcelona Open (13-19 Apr) - Cameron Norrie is the 7th seed and will take on :SUI veteran Stan Wawrinka in the first round. 8th seed Jack Draper will have a tough opener against :ARG Tomas Etcheverry in the first round.

 

ATP500 - BMW Open (13-19 Apr) - Arthur Fery attempted to qualify for the main draw but lost in the first round of qualifying. Likewise, Jan Choinski also fell in the first round of qualifying.
