3rd Slovak medal of the games, First Silver - Alexandra Filipová (W -70kg, Kickboxing)

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Team :SVK Day 7 Results

Thursday 14th

WATERSKI:

Slalom M

Qualifiers

6. (After Qualifiers) Martin Bartalský

Qualified to the Finals

Martin Bartalský was our first athlete participating at the Games yesterday, He finished in 6th place in the Slalom Waterski Qualifiers with a score of 2.00/58/11.25 and advanced to the next day Final as one of the 8 happy qualified athletes.

KICKBOXING:

-70kg W

Gold Medal Bout

:SVK Alexandra Filipová  0 - 3  Aleksandra Krstic :SRB

Silver Medal

Alexandra Filipová won the 3rd medal for Slovakia at the games, A Silver medal.

The 22 year old native from Košice was not the favorite against one of the best female kickboxer in the planet the Serbian Krstič, and it was pretty well visible also in their bout for the Gold, The Serbian was clearly more active and dominating, especially in the last round, which was the decisive moment.

However, Filipová´s silver is so far our best result of the games. Congrats Saša !

Despite losing the Final match, Alexandra achieved with her silver medal for now the best result of the Slovak Team at this edition

:SUR With a heartbreaking loss to Germany 22-24. Suriname had beaten China yesterday and a win here would have helped them reach semis.

So it's :NED:GER and :TWN:BEL facing each other in Korfball semis

    • Progressive Bulgaria- the name is misleading and someone from abroad might think it's some kind of modern social democracy party(various sources classify them as SD). Personally, if I were Bulgarian, I would give the PP an outright majority and simply evaluate them after 4 years- if they rule good I then another 4 years por them; if not- goodbye. Better that than chaos or another years with GERB or Radev's post-communists.
