phelps 7,674 Posted February 16, 2019 #11 Share Posted February 16, 2019 so, in the men's 500m JPN (2), RUS, NED, KOR and CHN earned quota places in the women's 500m NED (2), JPN, RUS and KOR earned the available spots in the men's 1500m the quota places went to KOR, RUS (2), ITA, AUT & GER in the women's 1500m the spots were awarded to NED (2), POL, NOR & JPN p.s. the 6th spot in both women's disciplines will be reallocated, as NED had 3 girls among the top 6 in both races (but they couldn't get more than 2 spots)... and another thing to keep in mind, is that there's a limit of 3 skaters per NOC (per gender) to cover all the 3 events in the Lausanne 2020 schedule (500m, 1500m and Mass Start), therefore also 1 of the 4 NED women's spots would eventually be reallocated (the final decision of which they want to keep, I think it's up to the Dutch NOC)...
