How come each division are separated into 2 groups, surely all teams are good enough to compete in 1.

Probably just a practical decision: these are all amateur players.

Both groups of one division are in fact part of one division. There are currently in the IIHF program 4 different inferior divisions I, II, III and IV, And within these divisions the teams are divided into two performance levels sort of Group A and Group B, Often about 12 teams, 6 of them let´s call them stronger in group A (They play for promotion to higher Division) and the other six with a "lower performance" in group B playing for the maintain in the division (With the better of this lower group having each year the chance to win promotion to the stronger group and there next year to play for higher division).

    • Do you have live coverage of the matches? Does  media know that your national team is participating in a cricket WC?
    • It's close between Mexico and Venezuela. Mexico probably has the better pitching but I think Venezuela is far superior when it comes to star power. They have pretty much all their top guys on offense besides Altuve.   I did accidentally forget Cuba. Call me crazy but I'm placing them 7th behind Panama. Panama is my dark horse team for the tournament and Cuba isn't looking too pretty these days to be honest especially on offense although Canada, Panama and Cuba are all probably roughly in the same tier. Maybe Puerto Rico as well since they're missing their 3 best players on offense.
