Mexico was doing quite well until 3rd quarter :wall:

Anyway, congratulations to the Serbian team for their victory

Yes, this was a really close game in the first 2 periods, a classic upset game, but unfortunately the start of the 3rd frame was disastrous for Mexico. The Serbs came out of the dressing room after the 2nd intermediate like a completely another new team, they significantly increased their activity and began to dominate the ice, especially in skating speed was the most striking difference. Serbia did just outskated Mexico in last third yesterday and this was the main reason for the 4-0 last period score.

but in other side, if Mexico will be able to play like they did in the first 2 periods also at least in 1 or 2 full games, I can see here a room to avoid the relegation.

This tournament can be actually very fun to watch and really interesting, especially looking forward for tonight´s clash Croatia vs Serbia, possibly the decider of this tourney. Croatia impressed yesterday with one very above level perfomace against the Netherlands. Very dominant and easy win 7-0 over the Dutch was a quite surprising for me, will be interesting to watch their match against Serbia tonight, really :bounce:

also aBenelux derby is always a derby to follow, even in Ice Hockey U20, BEL vs NED can be today also a interesting one, especially the dutch will certainly want to rehab themselves after last nights failure

Fans booing Serbian anthem  c´mon Croatia, this is not freaking football !

Some things never change...

Only in this part of Europe.

Plus,as you said, hockey fans doing something caracteristic mainly for football pitches... strange

On the other hand, interesting outcome. Croatia destroyed Netherlands night before, they were clear favorites.

Yes, I was right, this is gonna be a really interesting tournament, fun to watch. Croatia yesterday with a real masterpiece of hockey, I was literally excited by their performance against the Netherlands. but today it was quite surprisingly very poor, a one sided match. Serbia had not a impressive start of the tourney yesterday, too slow in the first 2 frames, but today they dominated the ice and the game, also the Netherlands yesterday with a embarassing performance against the hosts but today they came with suddenly so inspiring and totally supperior performance over the Belgians, who yesterday easily dominated Israel, team that today at their turn easily beat Mexico, who was more than equal opponent to Serbia in the first 40 minutes yesterday...

Gonna be fun this tournament...:d

    • Apparently this season will be last one in Kamil Stoch career if his results wont be enough good for his standards.
    • Such a nice one for Colturi ! That was fun. It almost looked like a script with the cameras focusing on Colturi a couple of times before her first run and showcasing the potential of youngster and she didn't disappoint.      I hope Colturi skis for Albania forever. So much fun to cheer her with the Albanian flag.    I don't get it why everyone is being so critical of Colturi, you got no right to criticize a personal decision, as most European nations use imported athletes in many sports like wrestling and cheer them on like their.   Would you spend hours criticizing Frank Chamizo for switching to Italy rather than playing for Cuba?

    • It may also be that Ceccerelli saw that the conditions in the Italian youth teams were very poor and that is why she insisted on setting up her own team (the results of young Italian skiers unfortunately confirm this). A private team will always be better than a team with 10-12 skiers with max. 3-4 coaches, a one doctor and a physiotherapist. Colturi is the only skier in her team and she has several coaches, a masseur, a doctor etc. Of course, it costs money, but since the parents are famous and have money + Red Bull got involved. I don't understand why she can't start for Italy again? Red Bull should care more that Colturi starts in Cortina under the Italian flag than the Albanian one + Red Bull, as a brand, always has a bigger sales market in Italy with a population of 60 million than in small Albania. I hope that this can still be reversed by next year. For this we need talks between the federation + Colturi's parents + Red Bull + possibly the Italian Olympic Committee. Colturi may be a skier equal to Brignone or even better in the future. We can't lose her, so we have to do now!
    • I`m very disappointed with this weekend. Only becouse of Ghiotto form I`m happy. Unfortunately, the women's team will not function well if Lollobrigida skips most of the training camps and Fontana starts alternately in short tack and long track. It will end with her not winning any medals here or there, because it`s already clear that it will be very difficult to achieve good results in long track. I hope that she understands this, because in short track she has a real chance of winning medals in the women's relay and the mixed relay but in long track not.
    • Tragic performance of the Italian women's team - last place and probably something bad happened at the start. There are so few starts in the team that it will be a problem to even qualify for the World Championships - 8 best teams. After Lollobrigida's return and Fontana's addition, I was counting on much more, but it seems that there are too few joint trainings. With individual quality, we have no right to lose to the Czechs without Sablikova, or anonymous Korea. And unfortunately this start will count for a lot, because there are only 2 more and our chances of playing at the World Championships are minimal. In my opinion with Fontana going from Short Track to Long Trackand vice versa, we won't be much use in the team. Here great teamwork is needed, not improvisation. As of today, there is very little chance that we will qualify the women's team for the games.
    • men advanced to Division A for the first time since 2018 (when they went 1-8). Don't expect much progress next year
    • Ok, but there we are talking about a person who has parents from different countries. Colturi has nothing to do with Albania.
    • There are few people here from Austria, Switzerland, Norway and Finland.
