So, it's safe to say Shiffrin becomes the 7th woman ever to win in all 5 alpine skiing events joining Petra Kronberger, Pernilla Wiberg, Anja Paerson, Janica Kostelic, Lindsey Vonn and Tina Maze

And quite possibly the last.

The last Dutch top-8 in a men's non-combined event is more recent than the last Slovak top-8 in a men's non-combined event

Spoiler

December 2012 for the Netherlands vs October 2012 for Slovakia

that´s really worrying actually

Not to worry, that Dutch result (Marvin van Heek 8th in the Val Gardena downhill) was a huge, huge fluke and influenced by crazy weather....which led our NOC to decide it was a 'non-representative result' and so his 8th place didn't count as the 'one top-8 in a World Cup' he needed to qualify for the Olympics

Second place for Rok Perko, not just his only podium, but also his only top-10 in 141 (!) World Cup starts :d

    • (RUS) Daria Kasatkina defeats 17 year old youngster  (RUS) Mirra Andreeva 6-0, 4-6, 6-4 for the Ningbo Open title!    Dasha sure does love her 500’s, she’s made 11 finals and has now won her 4th title!    As always, Mirra was a bit of a mess emotionally. Racket smash in the first set, and a whole lot of frustration and crying. She’s still very young though, I’m sure she’ll learn how to control her emotions as she plays more matches on tour.
