The Olympic medal / Asian games gold medal exemption is just about the only socially acceptable way to skip military service in South Korea, and by all accounts South Korean military service *sucks*.

                                                  • Philippines wins over South Korea 5-3 in men’s curling. Never thought I’d see the Philippines win a medal at the Asian Winter Games. And a gold medal too!
