Did some research on Instagram. IBU listed him with a few others making WC debut this weekend. When I go back on his Instagram profile, most posts before 2022 are in russian in Russia so I guess he is a young russian who changed nation to be able to compete. Probably with the help of rich parents as he also posts a lot of travelling photos from Maldives etc
We have one of our best ever generations moving slowly to the adult hockey right now, the expectations are quite high for the next decade, so with a team built around the likes of Slafkovský, Nemec, Mešár, Dvorský, Honzek, Gajan and others I see our near future in positive way, You know I am not known for being too optimistic about slovak sport in general, but in this I feel pretty confident the upcoming years may bring us something interesting.
In the longer future it is not so unrealistic for Hungary to enter among the big guns in this sport though, assuming they will continue on their project they started recently
