Since yesterday´s late evening Slovakia is living in Anarchy (well, partially ) the parliament declared no confidence in the government, by the nearow margin of 3 votes which submitted the immediate resignation of the current Slovak governement to the hands of the president of the republic late in the evening She will dismiss the government today and then reinstate them again but this time with restricted regime and order them to subsequently lead the country to early parliamentary elections which should be in May or early June

  19. I neither can not believe that nobody picked Slovakia 2026 ! world of ungrateful people but to be serious, sure, the red machine was simply impressive and some of their lines, especially Makarov-Larionov-Krutov, oh dear god, this was something so beautiful, an orgasm for hockey fans. They are still called by many as the best what hockey ever produced and god know that it is completely legitimately deserved. but we still have to differentiate the different tournaments, I am really not the biggest fan of such comparison between different tournaments in different times, each tourney had its different and unique climate around, unique distribution of forces etc... Hard to say that the red machine of the 1970s was better than the red machine of the late 80s or better of any of the Canadian teams of the 20s-30s, You can also suggest the best tournaments are arguably the one with equally full NHLers involved from Torino or Vancouver, maybe even the Sochi one... Maybe Nagano (which I voted) because it was something unprecedented for the hockey world the first time with NHL, a tournament the whole hockey planet was looking forward years before... For me there no one best team, many of them were great, some of them absolutely legendary but in the end all champions deserve their glory in this beautiful sport. Was probably the most emotional comment I posted in a while, so cherish it !

  24. Yay I missed it, but our goal has been achieved. Semifinal for Slovakia and completely unexpected by a surprising name. Tamara Potocká in the 100 medley (What a dumb event just by thinking about ) and in this occasion beat almost 23 years old NR of Martina Moravcová Congrats Tamara. Well done, enjoy your semi
  25. The common joke in Slovakia last days is: "Bad news slovaks, Juraj Slafkovský is playing good" Yeah, sadly, this means for the nation only one thing, Montreal will not release him for the World Juniors and keep him in the NHL during the tournament. There still apparently a mini-mini-mini-mini-mini-tiny-chance the Habs will accept and hear the voices of the whole under-tatras land inhabitants and let the kid go to the worlds, but it will equal probably a christmas miracle if it will happen. However, the coach announced yesterday the list of 28 players which will prepare in Canada for the WCh, 3 of them will have to leave the team after last Exhibition game in the night from 23rd December to Christmas Eve against Austria. The 24th December will be also the final date our team will announce the final 25 names list for the WCh. At that time we should also know the final and defenitive answer from Montreal Canadiens about Slaf presence at the tournament, but again the chance is so small that it is almost inexistant.
