@Griff88 I think rule should be considered "flipped" Nepal. Fly the flag vertically when displaying others horizontally (as you'd normally fly them). Fly it horizontally for medal ceremonies when flying other flags vertical.

Yep, that’s pretty what our little multi-sports games results archive group has done. The individual file sizes are ridiculous for some sports well (like 1 MB for a single page document).

There isn’t much government funding for athletes in the US, so I guess we already solved that problem

NOCs really don't want quotas this cycle I wonder how much of it has with this being at the start of the offseason for many athletes? Plus, the very saturated multi-sports games calendar this year... Edit: I would be quite sad for the girls. I thought they looked good (relative to the region) at the CAC Games. They aren't a team that will challenge for the podium, but they aren't going to embarrass their nation either.

The bigger question is why the semifinals and finals take place on the same day Eight boulders and two lead climbs is a significant task for athletes. These Games had great venues, smooth organization, and great attendance. However, the promotion and scheduling/tournament formats leave a lot to be desired. We had redundant rounds, too few matches in some team sports, weird draws in others, etc. The OCA doesn’t have a lot of pressure to change though, so not sure if those issues will be resolved anytime soon.

You clearly haven’t attempted to interact with the OCA enough, or watched their events. Honestly, Athletics Canada seems equally responsible in this case. I do feel like PanamSports has managed quota distribution poorly this cycle, however.

Yes, that I wanted to learn more about kabaddi after the 2018 Asian Games, so I could follow the sport. I found very little international infrastructure in place. The sport has a lot of potential, in my opinion, but they need to get serious about development and promotion.

How dumb. Rain shouldn’t be a huge issue in LA, but this tournament hasn’t exactly got me “chomping at the bit” for cricket being included in the Olympics.
