  4. Swayne tied for 4th at -2 after the first day of golf. If she can hold or improve her placement, she may well post the best result of the Games for the Virgin Islands.
  5. I’m not sure this song explicitly qualifies as a “Día de Los Muertos” entry, but it is my favorite Mexican folk song and there’s definitely a somber message and meaning to it. It plays off the prominent Mexican folklore figure La Llorona, a mother who loses her children and becomes a spirit that steals the children of others (if I remember correct). I believe each artist tweaks the lyrics slightly to fit their vision of La Llorona. A version of the song was featured in Coco, but I prefer this version sung by Angela Aguilar. Aguilar was born in Los Angeles, but it is widely recognized as a Mexican artist. This video was shot specifically for the holiday I believe. La Llorona - Ángela Aguilar

  11. with some synchronization and execution errors… I like the choreography choices made in both routines though.
  12. performing to the Paris 2024 Flag Handover music (in case that song sounds familiar to anyone who can’t quite place it).
  13. Lopes De Mello finishes 8th after a fantastic swim and bike. Triathlon can be cruel.
  14. D’Amour out in the Round of 32
  15. They beat the Americans in both events in 2019 and 2015. team had a better routine in my opinion, but judges went for
  16. The USOPC Comms staff jokingly referred to the “Juegos” on X as “the Olympics but chaotic.” I do feel like this edition has lived up to that characterization.
  17. Triathlon chase pack currently being lead by…a stray dog
  18. Three days; three golds for …And to think some of y’all thought they were running out medal possibilities.

  21. I like that the LOC gives the racquet sports winners a couple balls to sign and giveaway. A great way to involve the crowd and give away some history
  22. Smith into the W 400m hurdles final
  23. Diaz retains her title. She probably remains Puerto Rico’s best athlete too. Camacho-Quinn might have something to say about that I suppose…
