  1. Men's doubles team is competing at the Oberhof World Cup this weekend and already qualified for the main race.
  2. Team Canada’s speed and halfpipe snowboard teams revealed for Milano Cortina 2026 - Team Canada Snowboard team for PGS, snowboard cross, and halfpipe has been named. Again, no surprises. I believe we're just missing 4 team announcements now: Alpine Bobsleigh Luge Ski Cross + the reallocated cross-country skiing quota announcement
  3. Don't think so. There's no fixed amount of mixed relay quotas, it's only for teams that have a minimum of 1 male + 1 female athlete.
  4. I found that Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton has its own internal selection criteria. My guess would that be there wasn't a 2nd male athlete that met the requirements.
  5. Up to the 2024 games, there used to be regular prediction contests but since then, the prediction contest manager stepped down and no ones stepped up to replace them. Maybe I'll try to come up with something if I have the time if there's enough interest.
  6. Sweden is getting decimated by injuries. They are already down Carlsson and Brodin and possibly Nylander and others.
  7. A bit shocking to see Brazil with the most votes so far! They do have 3 good medal chances though (Pinheiro Braathen, Rocha Silveira, Burgener) so it's well deserved. I also originally included New Zealand on the poll but I must have deleted them by accident although they probably also would have gotten the same amount of votes as Brazil so it wouldn't have made much of a difference.
  8. Korea accepted a halfpipe quota so there will be a total of 22/25 competitors entered in women's halfpipe. The good news is that women's ski cross will have 32 entries for the first time since 2010.
  9. Likely going to accept both, sorry . Canada rarely rejects quotas.
  10. Included countries that won a medal in 2022 but aren't guaranteed to win a medal in 2026 or countries that didn't win a medal in 2022 but have a chance in 2026.
  11. I'm getting 206 so far. Alpine Skiing: 11 Biathlon: 8 Bobsleigh: 14 Cross-Country Skiing: 12 Curling: 11 Figure Skating: 12 Freestyle Skiing: 32 Ice Hockey: 48 Luge: 6* Short Track: 10 Skeleton: 4 Ski Jumping: 4 Snowboarding: 19 Speed Skating: 15 Luge is still questionable because we don't know whether or not the two doubles teams will meet eligibility requirements in time.
  12. Team Canada’s Olympic freestyle skiing team revealed for Milano Cortina 2026 - Team Canada Freestyle Skiing team (minus ski cross). All the expected names are there.
  13. Canada confirmed their freestyle skiing quotas. This is the team I would expect to be named: Men: Moguls (3): Mikäel Kingsbury, Elliott Vaillancourt, Julien Viel Aerial's (4): Alexandre Duchaine, Miha Fontaine, Lewis Irving, Emile Nadeau Ski Cross (4): Kevin Drury, Reece Howden, Kristofer Mahler, Jared Schmidt Halfpipe (3): Andrew Longino, Brendan Mackay, Dylan Martineau Slopestyle/Big Air (2): Dylan Deschamps, Evan McEachran Women: Moguls (4): Laurianne Desmarais-Gilbert, Ashley Koehler, Jessica Linton, Maia Schwinghammer Aerial's (1): Marion Thenault Ski Cross (3): Brittany Phelan, Hannah Schmidt, Marielle Thompson Halfpipe (4): Amy Fraser, Dillan Glennie, Rachael Karker, Cassie Sharpe Slopestyle/Big Air (4): Olivia Asselin, Elena Gaskell, Megan Oldham, Naomi Urness
  14. Sorry that was a mistake. I was frantically typing. It's supposed to say aerial's.
  15. Canada confirmed their quotas: Declined 1 quota in men's moguls. Reallocation goes to France. Also are in line for reallocations from previous declines. Declined 2 quotas in women's moguls. They both go to Belarus. Ukraine also in line for a reallocation from the ineligible Italian quota. Declined 1 quota in women's ski cross. That means it's a quota for . also in line for reallocations. Declined 1 quota in men's halfpipe. It goes to France. is also in line for a reallocation from the ineligible Italian quota. Declined 2 quotas in men's slopestyle/big air. They go to and .

  17. All the halfpipe quotas were accepted. That's it for Liam Gill unfortunately.
  18. Germany and Sweden both rejected a women's moguls quota. Sweden rejected a men's moguls quota too and no Italians are eligible so there will be at least a couple reallocations for both genders depending on what Canada does.
  19. Australia declined one quota on women's slope style/big air. It'll go to Italy.
  20. Not surprisingly, Canada has already received one reallocated female quota in alpine skiing. Hopefully we can get another.
