    Yeah, this race was absolutely brutal. It's the Brits though: Harrogate 2019 had only 46 finishers (with Van der Poel being a main candidate as well, but suddenly being absolutely roasted after a mistake in his feeding pattern)

    To be fair, it basically was one long attack. Which is his main chance, whereas Van Aert or Van der Poel will be more likely to need a short punchy attack

Although granted, that Danish name thing is always somewhat confusing with a difference in how riders are generally named (in international media) and how they are listed in graphics

    Mikkel Bjerg with a mechnical problem, awful 'help' from the neutral mechanics and not able to get back in the current high pace. Abandon.

    145k to go and Sam Bennett has dropped out of the peloton, to the surprise of nobody....I mean, he is a sprinter (one with a decent punchy climb on a good day, but not 10 laps with a bunch of those every lap )

    About time The long way to get there was utterly stunning for the views, very much enjoyed it, but as per usual not much happened other than the tense moment for half the Dutch team right after the restart.

    Yep, nobody wanted to really try and work together, including teammates. And then Bego did what she was expected to do after her recent results: simply be impossible to catch (especially by a sort of unwilling group) Great job by the French.

    Also, unbelievable Mohoric doesn't want to ride tomorrow....he would without any form of doubt be one of the absolute top favourites for the world title with his technical skills...

    Bego was a level too high for the rest, and the rest just flew the flag of surrender with 15km to go, so yeah, that results in a clear gold for Bego

    Are we sure the British girls actually want to win this? So far they are handing it over to Bego on a nice golden plate.
