  1. FORSBERG! A much better match from him today
  2. Ready for another 90+ minutes of excercise for the heart. Heja Sverige!
  3. Florence is absolutely magnificent. Sadly I didn't get to enjoy it fully as I was there on a school trip where most others didn't quite find the history and architecture as exiting as me.
  4. We haven't had a comeback from 2 goals behind in a KO match since 1970.
  5. Brazil aren't quite angels themselves
  6. Nope, it was Mathias "Zanka" Jørgensen. Hej didn't take a penalty
  7. Looking at today's games, I'm beginning to feel that it's anybody's game for that spot in the final. Denmark showed how to neutralise a lot of the danger from Croatia (after the first half hour or so) and I'm sure both Russia and an eventual opponent in the semi watched
  8. Well, it may very well not have made any difference whether he got a red or not (again, I personally agree that he should) other than he would surely be missed had we advanced.
  9. Sure, from a sportsmanship point of view, it's not right (but then again, Zanka isn't really great at that), but it's part of the game. But if that's the main reason to be happy about Denmark eliminated, good for you
  10. Would say that Eriksens penalty was pretty good and a great save. Schöne was pretty bad but not terrible while Nicolai was without doubt a bad one
  11. I agree that it should have been red, but wouldn't you have done exactly the same in the situation?
  12. So sorry for the guys, but bloody proud of this match. Look out for Denmark at Euro 2020!
  13. What does Bendtner have to do with it?
  14. At least we can't question that penalty. But with Yussuf back we could very well see one for Croatia as well
  15. Portugal has only once advanced after being behind (1966)
  16. Australia-Netherlands 4 years ago, I believe.

  18. American statistics site fivethirtyeight has done a bit of timing the stoppages of the games. Only one had too much stoppage time according to them: Germany - Sweden https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/world-cup-stoppage-time-is-wildly-inaccurate/

  20. Maybe I should go with Switzerland and Croatia in my fantasy team next round considering that I focused on Switzerland, Spain, Portugal and Germany
