I believe there's still a couple weeks for those without standards to get them (recall the commentators saying how Jade Lally (I think it was her) can still get the discus QS) but it's not a good look at all considering how much depth we've had in events like the middle distance ones. The only conclusive answer to this is that the funding has let the athletes down, and that the British Swimming guy was only brought in to cut costs and not improve the performance of the team.

Looks like we'll have more fighters entering the 2 global qualifiers than we thought, the lack of competition seems to have affected them. Hopefully we don't lose anymore of the 9.

I guess that's what the embarrassment of being slower than a 30 year old accountant does to you.

The Women have been excellent recently, wouldn't be surprised if they're quota ready by Brisbane or even LA.

Furthermore it's the British grass court season, and they tend to go full on with that (even going as far to get broadcasters from other sports and freelancers who mainly work for other broadcasters).

Only the Men's. It's cuz Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland feel FIFA will make them merge with England to form a Great Britain team due to them not putting in good performances compared to England. Although since Tokyo, Wales have qualified for a Euros and a World Cup and Scotland look set to qualify for Euro 24 so they might be swayed to agreeing to team up.

I agree on Modern Pentathlon, both quotas should be easy to get. Same goes for Women's Seven's, although Spain will put up quite the challenge. I think Ireland pip the men to the quota, however this won't be too bad as we should get it via the world qualifier. Llewellin and Coward-Holley will get their well deserved quotas, with Gowin and Heading also being in with a good shot (no pun intended). Don't know too much about the boxing either but expect us to sweep up most, if not all, of the quotas with a mix of returning athletes from Tokyo and previous qualification cycles and some high quality newcomers. Don't expect much from the divers as it's quite an inexperienced team, probably only get 2 quotas here. Artistic swimming will give it a go, but will ultimately fall short to the likes of Italy and Ukraine. Despite matching your concerns, I do think the women will pull it together and get the quota. The same won't be said for the men and our b-boy in Breaking (can't remember if it's Brummit or Sunny).

Nothing's set in stone, but in a lot of Olympic sports they use rankings to reallocate quotas so I wouldn't be surprised if they did this here. Also, it isn't entirely an U21's tournament as you're allowed to use 3 players over that age - so this would sort of justify using the main rankings.

If we both got to the Semi's then I believe the spot will still provisionally go to us as I don't think it's been 100% confirmed that there won't be an agreement before next year. If we haven't reached an agreement come next year then I assume it'll go to the highest ranked EU nation from the FIFA rankings yet to qualify.

Stupid if true, although a few weeks back I saw we'd accepted a Universality quota for Karate so unsure what to believe.

Yeah, for some reason Team GB only released the entries for Olympic events. So events like Kickboxing, which we qualified 8 athletes in, weren't included.

And entry list, still don't know the GB team for MuayThai, Padel, Ski Jumping and Tequball (if we have any).

You should be fine against us, all you need to do is have one really good quarter and you've won the game.
