  1. In all honesty, I kinda vibed with the Kazakhstan song, until the 2:42 rapper absolutely killed and murdered that song out of my first half on the score sheet.
  2. I would have had to rank you somewhere below 40 then. Even if we don't have that many competitors.
  3. Checker nations are in the top 3 right now. You think we don't notice you with those white and red flags???
  4. I'm intrigued with the similarities of our votes. 8 of my top 17 songs are in this top 12 and a Lithuania as well
  5. Yeah, that last sentence was not that much of a shot as my overall experience with 13 representations under my belt There are a couple of consistent users where you have a feeling about the point distribution whilst most are complete wildcards. I know in my case that I only send songs that I like in this competition, which is why it's likely that other countries that send something similar to me is prone to get on my points list, since I enjoy that kind of music. This would really prove my point if for example Portugal didn't give anything to Brazil and Brazil didn't give anything to Portugal, but I'm hoping that doesn't happen today
  6. Ooooh, welcome to the TISC family @Dnl and thank you for those 6 points
  7. I'm honestly just disappointed that Canada was not our leg when I gave them 12.
  8. The thing that intrigues me about Totallympics and that I can never understand is the voting schematics. We have Portugal at 28 and Brazil at 7. (I believe only I scored Brazil as of yet???) When the melodical progression shares a lot of similar values, has the same vibe and similar tempo, vocals carry both songs similarly. And one song is getting all the votes while the other is getting zero. This is literally one of those what the fuck moments for me from Totallympics users, because you would assume both songs would have the same target audience It's the same thing that I feel when people select the songs from their country, but then for some reason completely dislike songs from other countries that play the same role as the song that they've sent.
  9. I don't remember how much points that song got from then a 15 year old you last year.
  10. Not gonna lie, thought I was sending a top 10 performance and now I'm chilling at the bottom with New Zealand and Brazil in the underrated sea.
  11. No, only the entire world on fire trying to battle away the plague
  12. Oooooph, I hated that one I remember Riptide being so overplayed to the point where sometimes when I listened to that Vance Joy album, I would skip over it. Yet it still got 11 points from me that year, since there was little to none competition for it.
  13. It's gonna be one of those days where those seven points are going to be all that Lithuania is getting?
  14. Honestly, I think that sending Charlie Puth over and refusing to rank Shawn Mendes was pretty petty from you
  15. Yeah, I gave a few different headphone tests to every song and listening to Charlie and Shawn was a frikkin pleasant experience.
  16. Oh yeah, and lastly: Honourable mention to my RESERVES 13th place: Hungary @Vektor 14th place: Indonesia @Griff88 15th place: Sweden @Belle 16th place: Norway @Skijumpingmaster and 17th place to the hosts.
  17. Honestly, I was really conflicted this year. I tried my hardest to give the other songs the high points, listened to Ireland so many times, but I knew it wouldn't be unfair to USA and Canada if I dropped them down, just because they're famous. Another thing that really didn't go down well with me, is that I don't really like this Charlie Puth song that much as I think that Voicenotes is a head and shoulders better album from him, comparing to the stuff he was releasing recently. As for Shawn Mendes, he is really on a high and his music has improved a ton. Lost In Japan, In My Blood, Where Were You In The Morning?, Particular Taste, Why, Perfectly Wrong are just some of the songs that probably could have gotten that first spot, but If I Can't Have You is also one of his best tracks as a singer-songwriter.
  18. CANADA 12 UNITED STATES 11 IRELAND 10 MALTA 9 NETHERLANDS 8 BRAZIL 7 PORTUGAL 6 NEW ZEALAND 5 SLOVENIA 4 UKRAINE 3 FRANCE 2 DENMARK 1 Well, you know how much I like new songs. That is the reason why I was kind of mad that my twelve went to Shawn Mendes and 11 to Charlie Puth. But with every single listen, as a musician, I couldn't ignore the sheer level of production behind these two entries and they remained on top during the entire time that I was scoring. These were the votes of Lithuania. Thank you all.
