Honestly, I was really conflicted this year.
I tried my hardest to give the other songs the high points, listened to Ireland so many times, but I knew it wouldn't be unfair to USA and Canada if I dropped them down, just because they're famous.
Another thing that really didn't go down well with me, is that I don't really like this Charlie Puth song that much as I think that Voicenotes is a head and shoulders better album from him, comparing to the stuff he was releasing recently.
As for Shawn Mendes, he is really on a high and his music has improved a ton. Lost In Japan, In My Blood, Where Were You In The Morning?, Particular Taste, Why, Perfectly Wrong are just some of the songs that probably could have gotten that first spot, but If I Can't Have You is also one of his best tracks as a singer-songwriter.
