    All very recently built soccer specific stadiums. Good choices honestly, those are all premier MLS stadiums in places that won’t melt players cleats off with humidity in August. All in the 30k capacity range.
     
    Providence Park in Portland would be fun but it’s on the opposite side of the age spectrum to these, same for SLC and Colorado’s stadiums. 
     
    Disappointing that Boston’s new stadium will still be 4+ years from opening in 2028. We could have actually ended up hosting something Olympic related.

    And the article points out that they're apparently going to move from East to West to minimize travel as the tournament progresses.

    It would have been nice to keep things closer like Portland or Seattle, but I guess if you already have to take a multi-hour flight you might as well go for bigger places.

    The preliminary and knockout stages will be held at:
    New York Stadium in the New York Zone, stadium to be completed in 2027  Columbus Stadium in the Columbus Zone  Nashville Stadium in the Nashville Zone St. Louis Stadium in the St. Louis Zone San José Stadium in the San José Zone San Diego Stadium in the San Diego Zone  
    Final matches will be held at the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles.
     
    The schedule for both the women’s and men’s Football (Soccer) tournaments, including the dates and match distribution per stadium, will be announced before the first ticket drop in April 2026.
