  1. I'm new to road cycling...sorry to see all this unfold! But regardless, congrats to the overall winners, though there is no podium ceremony. Gold - Jonas Vingegaard Silver - João Almeida Bronze - Tom Pidcock (And for some hometown support, had 3 inside the top 10.) Riccitello 5, Kuss 7, Jorgenson 10
  2. Finally got to watch the end of the session, as I was at church during the 10k and the 100m races. Definitely not your usual podium for the 10k! And happy for my native South Carolinian for the Women's 100m Gold, and I know the Jamaicans are happy for their 1-2 finish in the men's side. (I wonder if Lyles and Bednarek still have beef with each other...Lyles still ahead of him.) 20 Federations with medals, including 6 Spanish-speaking ones! (I'm a Spanish teacher, so love seeing them succeed, too.) 3. Love that I've found this community, as I feel similarly. Love these 100m heats to see all these nations be able to put someone forth to shine, even if just for a moment.
  4. Perez with the silver. 4-1 Go , and congrats to for the win!
  5. Nobody else hit 7m in Paris...I like Tara's chances.
  6. Melissa Jefferson-Wooden also from South Carolina Loving the hometown (er, state) representation!
  7. Sha'carri stumbled or something
  8. Kamga with a NR for 66.61
  9. NR + PB and into Semis!
  10. Is it typical to run the 100m semis and finals just two hours apart?
  11. is 7 for 7 (Men and Women combined) in progressing through the 400m heats.
  12. into the semi-finals! I did my study abroad there, so happy to see them succeed.
  13. She attends the University of South Carolina (my state). (Jacory Patterson on the men's side, who also won his heat, is also from SC.)
  14. The whole World Athletics page is broken for me...
  15. Sleep may be for the weak...but it's almost 10 pm and it's time to go to bed here. Will wake up in time for the finals.
  16. Looks like Paternain doesn't even have a Uruguay flag to wave behind her!
  17. Sullivan 4th place And McClain 8th
  18. Doesn't even have to be a long race...love the Track Cycling sprints when they're moving at a snail's pace at first.
  19. Sullivan climbing again...will she catch Paternain?
  20. Brooke Andersen 3 strikes.
  21. Crazy how different the four heats of the 1500m were. There were 60 athletes in total, and the athlete who clocked the 41st fastest time is now qualified for the semis. (But I suppose that's not to be too surprising, giving it's just the top X from the heat, no time qualifiers.)
  22. Me: Kids, don't rot your eyes out on screens! Also me: Brb...the marathon is on.
  23. Sullivan lead gone
  24. Yes...two states to the north. Per Live Results, Sullivan's lead is down to 15 seconds.
  25. Sullivan's lead shrinking...just over a half minute from the chasing pack.
