Summer seems a lot more prepared for success than Penny. Penny was suddenly thrown in the deep end with surprise success in Rio, and had a hard time dealing with everything that came with the sudden fame... Summer seems almost nonplus about it. Then again, those around her seem to have been preparing her for it since she was a kid Ruck, I have no idea about. Like I said before, she's a mystery wrapped in an enigma. The occasional flashes of brilliance make the rest of the time so frustrating. -

The men looked really good in VNL... but a lot of teams were treating VNL like an Olympics pre-season, so, yeah, a bit misleading

Again, based on Qualifying scores, going into the last apparatus I have US +6.93 Italy +2.6 Brazil +1.1 GB +0.73 Canada China -1.53 Romania -2.47 Japan -3.0 Italy and GB are on beam, so nightmares can happen

That puts them right back in it, massive improvement over qualifying. Looks like GB and Brazil have the inside line on bronze Canada will need to make up at least a point Now ahead of China

Based on qualifying scores for the remaining apparatus, Canada is within .77 of Brazil and .20 of China and well ahead of Japan, GB and Romania Crazier things have happened

Don't begrudge her, she was a good soldier and sacrificed her individual programs a lot for the relays... but her departure sure left a huge hole on our relays

Getting a chance to sit down and really watch the basketball game in full... woof. That was a brutal effort. Not sure anyone looked good out there. Maybe Swords. The starters were especially bad.

Well, if this involved a medal after the competition and one side was determined to drag it out and act in bad faith at every turn, I'm sure we could drag it out after the fact with CAS for a year plus too

Sadly, didn't seem like it could end either way. The way the Korean was throwing false attacks, the only way it was going to end was with her DQ'd for that or DeGuchi for passivity
