Avinash Sable qualified for Final by finishing 5th in the 2nd heat of 3000M SC (M) . This is our first Track final qualification since Rio 2016 , which was also in 3000m SC(W) .

Qualify for Skeet mixed team BMM With this qualification we achieved qualification to Finals in Rifle , Pistol & Shotgun events . A record in a single Olympics for us. Also we made 7/15 Finals a near 50% success rate. Getting medals in 3/6 finals so far. Excellent show by our shooting team in Paris . Massive credit to our federation. are through to the QF in Women’s Team event This is our debut in this event, another FIRST for us in this Olympics. We are deffo heading in the right direction with a number of improvements across various sports 3-2 It was a very tight match but Manika Batra ( WR 28) winning her match against Bernadette Szocs (WR 10) was vital in winning this match

Lindemann with a sprint finish to give the Gold. She looked absolutely exhausted . Mixed team event is a good addition to the sports programme. Even in Tokyo it was a close race.

Has already won a 🥉medal in Badminton (Women’s Singles ) after Carolina Marin withdrew .

Day 9- Wait for Medal continues , highlight of the day is our Hockey men playing outstanding hockey & qualifying to SF but today also mark the end of our Boxing campaign without a single medal We are still active in 9 sports. ( Boxing campaign comes to an end without a single medal, very disappointing. A mixture of tough draw, biased judging & average performance resulted in not having a single medal from 6 boxers) 8 more athletes ended their Olympics campaign today ( 3 Shooting , 2 Golf , 2 Athletics & 1 Boxing ) We still have 56 active athletes & have 3🥉 in our Kitty. As of Day 9 we are 57th in the overall Medal table . Medalists : Manu Bhaker (10m AP women) - 🥉 10m AP Mixed Team ( Manu & Sarabjot) - 🥉 Swapnil Kusale (50m 3P AR Men) - 🥉

I would have liked Thomson to win & he deserves too. I don’t why they made the athletes wait so long at the start line. Anyways, since Bolt’s retirement WA has been crying out for a STAR so Lyles & his cocky arrogance fits nicely with WA trying to Promote him as some kind of superstar . When the reality is he is not an exceptional sprinter like Bolt. It is what it is.

3000m (W) : Ankita - 40th ( 16:19:38) Parul - 24th (15:10:68) SB Both failed to qualify for Final. Shot Put (M) - Tejinder Toor - 29/31 athletes hitting a poor mark 18.05 . He looked unfit. Failed to qualify for Final.

Parul Chaudhary finished 8th in her heats & 21/ 36 athletes overall in 3000m SC (W) . She failed to qualify for Finals . She clocked a SB time of 9:23:39

Lakahay sen lost 0-2 to Victor Axelsen . He played superbly and nearly won the first game but Axelsen is on a different level. Let’s hope he can do well in the 🥉medal match.

We end our Boxing competition without a medal Judging is so subjective , every bout we lost is by split decision For this sport to survive we need a scoring system . This subjective judging will kill amateur boxing .

Lovlina lost to the chinese Boxer in split decision (1-4) again another close bout went against us. No medal in Boxing

1(4) - 1 (2) FT We are through to yet another SF in Olympics. Our boys played amazing hockey. Excellent team effort & our GK legend dis the rest

We won playing with 10 men What a defensive performance from the boys . Our GK is a Legend . Where would be without him. In Hockey unlike Football Shoot out are more technical & not solely on luck. Another SF for us, hope we can go the distance this Olympics

Day 8 - Frustrating Day, we could have secured 2 medals but ended with none. Manu ended her excellent Olympics with a 4th place We are still active in 10 sports. ( Archery campaign comes to an end again without any medal ) Archery has probably worst ratio of medal/ expense among our core sports where government is spending heavily. Need a massive overhaul of our system in Archery. 4 more athletes ended their Olympics campaign today ( 2 Archery , 1 Shooting , & 1 Boxing ) We still have 64 active athletes & have 3🥉 in our Kitty.
