The weekend ended with another 29-5 loss to to condemn the team to the bottom of the pile (again). The women's team have been having a nightmare and there's no sign of it ending anytime soon. There's still plenty of time before LA, but unless something drastically changes, I can't really see either side qualifying. Table Tennis: WTT Feeder Dusseldorf (02 Mar - 06 Mar): It was a case of so near and yet so far for Anna Hursey. As the top seed, she navigated her way to the final for the loss of only 2 sets. Unfortunately, in the final she came unstuck against qualifier Yuka Kaneyoshi, losing in straight sets. Tom Jarvis was the 5th seed in the Men's Singles and had a bye in the first round. Both Cameron Norrie and defending champion Jack Draper had first round byes. 27th seed Norrie easily dispatched qualifier Mackenzie McDonald 6-2 6-3 before taking out 6th seed Alex de Minaur 6-4 6-4 in the 3rd round. He would move through to the quarterfinals with a 6-4 6-2 win over qualifier Rinky Hijikata. In the quarterfinals, Norrie came up against top seed Carlos Alcaraz and lost in straight sets 6-3 6-4. Draper would also make it through to the quarterfinals after victories over Roberto Bautista Agut and 19th seed Francisco Cerundolo. In the last 16 Draper came up against 3rd seed Novak Djokovic and recorded a tough 3 set win - 6-4 4-6 7-6 - to progress to the quarter finals. In only his second tournament back post injury it was no surprise that Draper seemed pretty lackluster in his QF match against Daniil Medvedev and he would ultimately lose 6-1 7-5 in a match that wasn't without controversy as Draper lost a point on a hindrance review. This week's results have seen Cameron Norrie regain the British Number 1 spot from Draper. In the women's singles, Katie Boulter is missed out on a place in the main draw after losing to Victoria Jimenez Kasinteva in the final round of qualifying. She also missed out on a lucky loser spot to Dalma Galfi. the top seed in the qualifying draw and will take on Viktoriya Tomova. 25th seed Emma Raducanu had a first round bye. 17. I'm not saying anything of the kind - I'm saying that YOU don't know your arse from your elbow when it comes to questions of funding. More than that, you seem to relish in the ridiculous Nostradamus prophesizing of doom and gloom. Only a few weeks ago you were saying that GB were going to cancel all funding for winter sports purely on the basis that GB missed out on a medal in the mixed curling and Kirsty Muir missing the podium. You were rightly called out for it and then went very quiet when the medals started to be won. I'm more than happy to call out the mismanagement of elite sport in UK but thankfully funding decisions a) aren't up to folks like you and b) are made by people who recognise that athletes can't and shouldn't be judged purely on one result. Please, take up knitting or needle point, or maybe join a book club where your outlandish notions can be fully appreciated by like minded people.
  18. There are no changes to the main text. Updates are limited to section H Qualification Timeline. By the looks of things, there was an error in the 10th December Version as it said the Confirmation of quotas took place in November 2027 and the reallocation of quotas took place between December 2027 and June 2028. That section of the timeline has been removed from the March version.
  19. If you are so worried, might I suggest that you retire to a darkened room for a lie down. Feel free to stay there until you rid yourself of these notions that you know anything about sport funding or broadcasting rights.

  22. Team put in a solid effort in their first match against world number 6 , holding them to 1-1 through 7. Unfortunately, it fell apart a bit in the eighth and ninth.
