  1. Mel/Brandie are through to the quarterfinals at the Elite16 in Tepic, Mexico after finishing first in their pool. They’ll play the winner of Cannon/Sponcil (USA) v. Menegatti/Gottardi (ITA) on Saturday at 1pm PST/4pm EST. Pavan/Bukovec advance to the round of 12, after finishing third in their pool. They’ll play Clancy/Mariafe later today at 7pm PST/10pm EST.
  2. Jessica Klimkait (-57kg) wins a bronze medal on Day 1 of the 2023 Grand Slam in Tbilisi, Georgia defeating current world champion Rafaela Silva (BRA) 10-0. In the semi-finals she lost to Nora Gjakova (KOS) 10-0.
  3. Final event of the season for the women was today in Lahti, Finland Alexandria Loutitt finished 15th (219.7), while Abigail Strate finished 18th (218.5). A great season for our female ski jumpers Loutitt - 13th Overall (547 PTS), 7th Raw Air (1,648 PTS) Strate - 11th Overall (669 PTS), 11th Raw Air (1,613 PTS)
  4. Despite them clearly not playing at their best level, Team Einarson (7-5) is through to the playoffs at the 2023 Women’s Curling World Championships. With one draw still left to go, Norway (7-4) and Sweden (7-4) would have to lose their matches (Against Germany and Denmark respectively) for Canada to secure second and a bye straight to the semi-finals. (Canada would be in a five way tie for fifth but they would have the best (3-1) H2H record against Sweden, Italy, Norway, Japan (Only loss) so therefore they would secure second). Should only one of the above win, Canada would secure third, otherwise they’ll finish in fourth.
  5. Was not expecting Keldiyorova to defeat Krasniqi Anyways, a nice bronze for Jessica Klimkait Should be a great battle between her and Deguchi for the -57kg quota at Paris 2024.
  6. Where can I find full results? @intoronto
  7. Josh Liendo won 100m Butterfly, and 100m Freestyle bronze at the 2022 World Aquatic Championships. Plus you have Illya Kharun, who’s one of the of the most promising junior swimmers in the world at the moment. Sure they don’t field as strong of a team as their female counterparts, but saying they’re “almost nonexistent”
