Poland had Justyna Kowalczyk in cross country. And it's not like she had a private jet like Vlhova. Or Poland ever had a complex like Jasna. We had 5 km of cross country slopes in all of Poland that were Universiade level Girardelli is an Austrian, it's impossible to compare him to Vlhova or Kowalczyk in cc.

What pressure? DH and SG being cancelled removed ALL the overall globe pressure. Vlhova will win it by default.

At this rate Liensberger will win the slalom globe. Shiffrin way back and Vlhova totally choked that 1,84 back. If we had the DH and SG I think Gut would have won the overall.

It seems like Herrmann's age begins to show up in the latter stages of the season now. Preuss was consistently faster than her in Nove Mesto already. Admittedly Todorova has less in her legs due to Bulgarians missing one round with covid restrictions in December but it's still impressive to see her in Top 10.
