  1. wins by 63 points. should easily improve at WOG when they draft R. Kobayashi & Takanashi. Austria needs a better 2nd male since Kraft is not at the best level. Norway has issue with the second woman, Bjoerseth is having a mediocre season. And Germany also needs a better second woman, Juliane Seyfarth might stick to her Playboy look as top achievement!
  2. leads the mixed at half-distance by a large margin. The Olympic mixed will be held on normal hill which is the only hope for countries like and but can always be in the mix since they have a B-team in Willingen.
  3. With no NHL players this feels like gold to lose. probably the biggest threat indeed.
  4. Women start from higher gates than men but Yuki Ito reached 154 meters in training today. Silje Opseth had 152,5. For those who don't follow ski jumping much, Willingen is the biggest large hill on the World Cup. Here's the list of 150 meters jumps in Willingen:
  5. Mikael Kingsbury - moguls Francesco Friedrich - two man bob Men's cross country 4x10 km Relay Women's cross country Team Sprint Ester Ledecka - snowboard PGS
  6. Natalia Czerwonka & Magdalena Czyszczon (speed skating) tested positive after arriving in Beijing (no sympthoms). Also two biathlon coaches tested positive
  7. Some crazy shit in vs . Ecuador had the goalkeeper send off after 15 minutes and Brazilian GK Allison was shown red card twice only to have them both rescinded on VAR (one was changed to yellow). Brazil had another player send off after 20 minutes anyway and VAR rescinded penalty for Ecuador. Game finished 1-1

  9. In case someone needs a mixed team OG preview, Willingen will stage a mixed event tomorrow
  10. Piotr Zyla tested negative both yesterday & today so things appear to be back to normal.
  11. Ben Roethlisberger formally announced his retirement. Everyone expected that to happen. Some coaching news, Nathaniel Hackett is the new Broncos HC. I wonder if this was done to lure Aaron Rodgers?
  12. Ranomi Kromowidjojo (3x Olympic Champion in swimming).

  14. Well, hockey is popular in Europe but not THAT popular like in Canada so when we build arenas here we don't consider whether it suits hockey audience the most
  15. Literally NOBODY in Poland builds an arena for hockey alone. It doesn't make any sense. The multi-purpose arena (cap. 11,500) nearest to where I live: Hockey: Tennis: Volleyball:
  16. Sure enough, FAA blows a two set lead and falls to Medvedev Iga Swiatek will play Danielle Collins in the second women's SF. However it feels like Barty vs Keys is the premature final. Sliding on hard court? On MP no less? Who needs Clijsters doing splits?
  17. @heywoodu is likely correct. I checked info on our ski jumping site from yesterday. It's five days prior to arrival with two negative tests in a space of 24 hours. Polish ski jumpers are set to leave for China on 31st January (Monday) so Zyla literally has to test negative today to make that flight.
  18. Given the Piotr Zyla updates in ski jumping, China requires a negative test at least 5 days prior to arrival? Unless Weng is in China already (probably not)?
  19. Kristoffer Jakobsen crashes out on gate three. Are U kidding me? Strasser wins.
  20. This is apparently the official TV intro for the games:
  21. There is some Slovak tourism adverts on Polish TV too but I don't remember Vlhova starring in them Or maybe they had new ones?
  22. Apparently vs kicks off in 45 minutes @hckošice
  23. Well, Rodes 3 seconds off the pace (probably doesn't care anymore) and Vidovic lasted like 10 gates. It seems like is crawling towards the Olympics
