  1. Austria & Hungary in the same group next year? I smell some Franz Joseph jokes in Power Rankings
  2. Indy 500 finished so I just got that OT finish on my TV What a year for Suomi in hockey! Valtteri Filippula joins the Triple Gold Club?
  3. Marcus Ericsson wins Indianapolis 500!!!! @Belle
  4. Sergio Perez wins Monaco GP after Ferarri blew the strategy before the red flag. @mrv86 Perez has 3 F1 wins now, one more than Pedro Rodriguez.
  5. Adrianna Sulek might be the missing link between Malgorzata Nowak (still NR from 1985), Urszula Wlodarczyk, Kamila Chudzik (wrecked by elbow injury after bronze at WCh 2009) and Karolina Tyminska (too weak in both shot & javelin). Sulek's shot put is probably serviceable enough in the modern standards.
  6. Monaco GP delayed by an hour due to a downpour and Mick Schumacher's car broke in half.
  7. Anouk Vetter 59,81 in javelin. That's barely a meter shorter than Spotakova's HB
  8. French organizing in shambles as usual Yellow vests 2.0. If this happened anywhere else like Bulgaria & Poland Macron would be calling to ban all international events from taking place in such country.
  9. [hide] Knockout Round May 26th - May 29th, 2022 Third-Place Match Date & Time (GMT +3) Nation 1 T1 T2 Nation 2 May 29th 2022, h. 14:20 Czech Republic 1 United States Final Date & Time (GMT +3) Nation 1 T1 T2 Nation 2 May 28th 2022, h. 19:20 Finland 1 Canada [/hide]
  10. Javelin tomorrow so Sulek will probably lose the lead
  11. Ray Liotta passed away at the age of 67. 'The Goodfellas' is still the best mob movie in history IMO
  12. You bet! The Alpha ball-basher of the tour Camila Giorgi takes out BBB apprentice Aryna Sabalenka 4-6 6-1 6-0!
  13. Pia Skrzyszkowska 12,68 (+1,0) in 100H in Poznan. That's 5th fastest in Polish history all-time and the fastest time since 1984.
  14. Another injury for Karolina Muchova who rolled her ankle in the second set vs Amanda Anisimova and had to retire half-way through the third.
  15. [hide] Knockout Round May 26th - May 29th, 2022 4 Nations, The Winners of the Semifinals will qualify for the Final, the Loser will play the Third-Place Match Semifinals Date & Time (GMT +3) Nation 1 T1 T2 Nation 2 May 28th 2022, h. 14:20 Finland 2 United States May 28th 2022, h. 18:20 Canada 1 Czech Republic [/hide]
  16. This "15 year old child" is posing Adidas-sponsored swimwear pics on her IG. A quick look around indicates she signed some swimwear promo deals when she was 14yo already. I have a feeling signora Ceccarelli wants to monetize her daughter to the extreme here for lack of a better word. It also seems like she maybe asked for a preferential treatment for her daughter and the Italian federation didn't want that to happen. So they bailed to Albania of all countries
  17. Yeah, I know Geraghty-Moats craze is over. Meanwhile Norway of all coutries is set to dominate women's NC in the near future. If Norway winning extra golds in nordic skiing isn't a textbook example of rich getting richer I don't know what else is? Well, USA and France are two coutries that have regressed in the last decade. USA dropped from a powerhouse to a complete pariah. Italy is stuck in the mud save for the Malsiner sisters. The same countries that are dominating in the men's are doing so in the women's: Norway, Austria, Slovenia, Japan & Germany. Poland is terrible among the women due to our federation not giving a damn and hiring Kruczek as HC which is nonsense. We can add two Canadians, Westman & Haralambie and that would be that when it comes to depth. Finland & Czechia remain uncompetitive the same way their men are right now. Obviously Russia is off the table right now and they were pretty much the 5th-6th best team based on depth.
  18. Yeah, more mixed nonsense. Rich have to get richer after all Not gonna say what the level in women's nordic combined will be. Probably extremely low given how Geraghty-Moats was able to dominate until recently despite being a very mediocre ski jumper.
  19. Calendar for 2022/23 season is out. They rejected all the new ideas after all, parallels are almost gone and no combined of any sort. Big change is the addition of North American rounds after the World Championships for men as women will race in Kvitfjell instead. Maribor is out like previously reported. https://www.fis-ski.com/en/international-ski-federation/news-multimedia/news-2022/decisions-of-the-53rd-international-ski-congress @hckošiceSki Association of Slovakia is the new name of Slovakia Ski Association Women 22.10 Sölden GS 05.11 Zermatt-Cervinia DH 06.11 Zermatt-Cervinia DH 12.11 Lech/Zuers PAR Night event 19.11 Levi SL 20.11 Levi SL 26.11 Killington GS 27.11 Killington SL 02.12 Lake Louise DH 03.12 Lake Louise DH 04.12 Lake Louise SG 10.12 Sestriere GS 11.12 Sestriere SL 16.12 St. Moritz DH 17.12 St. Moritz DH 18.12 St. Moritz SG 28.12 Semmering GS 29.12 Semmering SL 04.01 Zagreb SL Night event 05.01 Zagreb SL Night event 07.01 Kranjska Gora GS 08.01 Kranjska Gora GS 10.01 Flachau SL Night event 14.01 St. Anton DH 15.01 St. Anton SG 20.01 Cortina d’Ampezzo SG 21.01 Cortina d’Ampezzo DH 22.01 Cortina d’Ampezzo SG 24.01 Kronplatz GS 28.01 Spindleruv Mlyn GS 29.01 Spindleruv Mlyn SL 06-19.02 WSC Courchevel Méribel 25.02 Crans Montana DH 26.02 Crans Montana SG 04.03 Kvitfjell DH 05.03 Kvitfjell SG 10.03 Åre DH 11.03 Åre SG 13-19.03 Soldeu Finals Men 23.10 Sölden GS 29.10 Zermatt-Cervinia DH 30.10 Zermatt-Cervinia DH 13.11 Lech/Zuers PAR Night event 26.11 Lake Louise DH 27.11 Lake Louise SG 02.12 Beaver Creek SH 03.12 Beaver Creek SG 04.12 Beaver Creek SG 10.12 Val d’Isère GS 11.12 Val d’Isère SL 16.12 Val Gardena SG 17.12 Val Gardena SH 18.12 Alta Badia GS 19.12 Alta Badia GS 22.12 Madonna di Camp. 20. Iga Swiatek dropped only two games vs Alison Riske in R2. Camila Giorgi also advances to R3.
  21. Paula Badosa beat Kaja Juvan in three sets to advance to R3. Meanwhile elsewhere...
  22. I tuned in with Slovakia up 1-0 and turned off at 5-0. Does it count?
