Golf:

Heartbreak moment for India.

Aditi Ashok finished 4th one shot below the medal winner in the interrupted final day of the Women's Golf after consistently finishing on the 2nd spot in the three days earlier.

Best moment for India I think. She was punching much above her weight. World no 189 going toe to toe with World No 1 for 3 days.

Shooting, Boxing, Wrestling truly underwhelmed. A lot of introspection is required. In terms of athletes quality, I think we have progressed but need to have an extra edge in coaching and mental strength to win at the bigger tournaments.

Don't see any tennis players qualifying in Paris unless some wunderkid arrives on the scene.

Also the young badminton players need to step for the next Kidambi or Sindhu. Hope we get some decent doubles players too especially in women's

Thanks to more smartphone viewership and digital media coverage hopefully this Olympics Tokyo 2020 fourth position by Aditi Ashok will be remembered like a 'Dipa Karmakar fourth position' and not like a 'Joydeep Karmakar fourth position'.

Dipa Karmakar hardly participated after 2016 and is struggling with injuries. Aditi Ashok was 400 in 2016 and 200 now, hope this propels he career and attracts more sponsors

Missed birdie by a whisker in her last shot that would have fetched her a medal....Unluckiness continues for India:facepalm:

    • Yeah. It was pretty bad that they cancel the contract with the original creative director after 7 months of work. I feel like politics, in this particular context of the changing of prime minister and the cabinet, may had caused changes in organizational decisions regarding the Sea Games including the direction of the opening ceremony.
    • That's what I figured.  Wouldn't be a proper lead up to an Olympics without some media-fueled fearmongering.
