Once scheduling is done we can open a new thread - what i'll be watching on day -2, on day -1, on day 0, on day 1, on day 2...

 

I remember we did sth like that here in 2020 when the Tokyo olympics were postponed and it was pure fun in these first covid weeks when nothing was going on - imagine what we would do when the games are as planned... but i can't find this old thread now.

No worries for Sydney. They will change this schedule soon, like they did for Marchand in Paris.

I am surprised they put W shot put on day 1. US is so strong in M shot put now but it's on day 2. Maybe they want full focus on W 100m.

They call ATH07 session "Final" type but there's no final in it actually... maybe sth wrong here?

It's a pity W rugby sevens are on days -2 and -1. M tournament would be much more interesting for me. In Paris, it was the biggest fun before the opening ceremony. But this LA schedule is expected, US is much better in W Sevens.

Days 8-10 - Artistic Gymnastics - it's like the first version of Paris schedule: it only says - M/W Apparatus Finals. No specific events scheduled. I don't like it.

What are your thoughts? What will be there on day 8, what on day 9, what on day 10? Everything copy/paste Paris-like?

I can't see anything.  I haven't cross-checked each event with the schedule, however.

 

Also, one other change...baseball is now starting Day -1, moving things up a day.
