That 5th place saved the last day of the WCh for us. We will either have to fight for the European spot with Ukraine at the World Cup events, or we will both be in Tokyo if Tunisia helps us by not attending the World Cup.

So the Men's Foil team event is Italy's last chance to not finish without a gold medal for the for the first time at a full WCh since 1987.

well, we've won the last 3...so, yes, this should be the good one...

Meanwhile the men's foil Olympic ranking is a bit of a clusterfuck, because Egypt and Canada will likely "steal" two spots from the teams that ended up in the Top8 at the WCh.
