Massive changes after the impotent performance against Germany. the coaches have made changes in all four offensive lines.

Lantoši was retrograded from 1st to 3rd line, Kristián Pospíšil went the other way from 3rd to Top line.

Minárik will replace Miloš Roman as center of Regenda-Slaf line,

and the 17 year old Adam Sýkora (who was added this morning to the official roster as 24th player) will experience his huge WCh debut today against nobodoy else than Canada WOW :d

Top line:                Tatar, Krištof, Pospíšil

2nd Line:          Regenda, Minárik, Slafkovský

3rd Line:              Liška, Roman, Lantoši

Checking line:     Takáč, Tamáši, Sýkora

The Defense pairs will be the same

Top pair:   Rosandič, Čerešňák

2nd Pair:       Ivan, Nemec

3rd Pair:      Jánošík, Grman

7th defender:   Gachulinec

The good news is Martin Fehérváry (Washington Capitals) will land this afternoon in Helsinki, he will not arrive at time for todays game but will be ready for Wednesday´s game against Switzerland.

Goalie Patrik Rybár After the first 2 matches will take a break today. The starting goalie will be Adam Húska (Matej Tomek being prepared as substitute on the bench)

After the young Sýkora and this afternoon arriving Fehérváry being added to the roster today we have now 24 players registered. Still one spot is open, sadly for us Calgary and Tampa Bay won their 1st round series so we definitely lost Ružička and Černák, but there still a small chance to get Marián Studenič from Dallas (But the chance is very small, he already refused the invitation earlier, but today our GM Miro Šatan will try to call him personally once again and try to persuade him to come)

Several teams have registered additional players today ahead of the games at the 2022 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship in Tampere and Helsinki, Finland.

Of the additions, Latvian defender Kristjans Rubins was the only one who joined his team from overseas. The 24-year-old has been playing in the Toronto Maple Leafs organization for the past four seasons and had his NHL debut with the Leafs this season (3 games) while spending most time with the AHL’s Toronto Marlies.

Rubins will play his third World Championship after 2018 and last year’s Worlds on home ice in Riga. After his addition the Latvians still have one spot open for another skater.

The players below have already been practising with the teams but only been registered to the official tournament roster today.

Slovakia registered forward Adam Sykora of HK Nitra today, who has been with the team before. They have two roster spots open but announced to use one for Washington defender Martin Fehervary, who is on his way to Finland.

Sweden is playing with a short roster in the anticipation of NHLers. Having started with a minimum roster of 15 skaters and two goalies, the Swedes added yesterday forwards Nils Aman and Oskar Lang of Leksands IF and today added Skelleftea AIK defender Jonathan Pudas. Tre Kronor has now two goalies and 18 skaters and could still add one more goalie and up to four more skaters.

Two more teams have completed their rosters today.

Norway added Christian Bull of Slovak club HC Nove Zamky as last players.

France added defender Enzo Guebey, who recently completed the season with Swiss runner-up ZSC Lions Zurich, and forward Fabien Colotti of the Gap Rapaces.
