Kinda feels like the Russian athletics championships when they were in Cheboksary and all the Russians had mega performances there (and then not really outside of it)
Although to be fair, the World Cup saw tons of WR's as well, so it might feel more like a sort of trend of some new development (hopefully in equipment).
Can they check if the pool is indeed 25 m and not 20 m.. It was very fun in the beginning, but now it's getting absurd, especially with Walsh, who's every swim is basically a WR. I thought the "enormous number of broken WR's at the same event" years were behind us, but here we are.
Stage 6 in Beaver Creek (USA)
Women´s Downhill:
1. Cornelia Huetter 1:32.38
2. Sofia Goggia 1:32.54
3. Lara Gut-Behrami 1:32.72

And with some margin in some cases. It's like before this year, nobody took it seriously, it's quite insane to see this many WR's fall...whoever built that pool is incredible
Conspiracy theory:
They scheduled W Parallel Giant Slalom and W Downhill on the same day (Day 2, Sun) because they don't want Ester Ledecka to be a superstar of 2026 Olympics.
Ester currently 4th in Beaver Creek DH
