*United Arab Emirates and the IIHF World Championship program debutant Kyrgyzstan are fighting for the Gold and promotion, and the destiny wanted to have it in a direct "do-or-die" duel in the very last day of the qualifications tournament.

**Both Teams have 12 points so far from 4 wins in their previous 4 games, meaning everything is open and clear, the winner of the match (no matter if in Regulation Time or after Overtime/Penalty Shoot-out) will win the qualification tournament and earn promotion for the next years IIHF Men´s Division III World Championships.

*Hong Kong and Bosnia and Herzegovina in the direct match will play for the Bronze medal, with Hong Kong in the better position, Any other result than a Regular Time win of Bosnia and Herzegovina will means the 3rd place and Bronze medal for Hong Kong.

 

Aleksandr Titov of :KGZ was disaqualified resulting in forfeiting all :KGZ  games.

 

Meaning Kyrgyzstan in a second became from a strong contender for gold and promotion after winning all matches by huge margin to a disqualified team finishing with 0 points by losing all 5 matches 0-5 by forfeit

Also what is it with all these post-Soviet republics and eligibility issues lol. Armenia did it and got suspended, and Georgia got DQ'd once too.

Haha no idea, but I noticed it too, well, it looks like a too much work there to control the eligibility of their players :lol: anyway really sad for Kyrgyzstan, I was cheering for them :(

The match is still going on as if nothing had happened. 

 

It looks they agreed to play this match after all, but Titov is notnoticed in the line-up anymore..however nothing will change in fact UAE is the promoted team because of head to head result with Hong Kong and KGZ will finish last even if they win tonight in regulation time since they lost by forfeit their H2H game with Kuwait
