I was wondering who gave :PRK team that push? ..it was you at the end  ... Karlos is the man (hopefully) to break this domination.

but if we did a poll here:

Do you think :PRK weightlifters are clean from doping or not ? ..what would be your thoughts ...I don't want to criticise any athletes or countries but the records are very suspicious

if they limit the number of qualified athletes to 8 per category that will not exceed the allocated quota (marginally). I know 8 athletes only is a bit harsh but will be more competitive.

Women Competitions

We are going to witness the clash of titans between :CHN and  :PRK in several bodyweights

Women -45 kg

1-      Won :PRK (entry 187 kg) gold medalist of Asian Ch with 192 kg and the world record holder when she became the champion of World cup 2024 (196 kg).

2-      Zhao :CHN (entry 179 kg)   her latest record was in -49 kg category when she claimed the Junior W ch title with 191 kg.

3-      Pham :VIE (entry 175 kg) her latest record in -45 kg category was back to 2019 when was the asian junior champion with 165 kg

4-      Garcia Rincon :ESP (entry 175 kg) bronze medalist in European ch 2024 (156 kg).

My guess goes for :PRK then :CHN  ,   the bronze will see potential rivalry between the above other two athletes & some others with lower entry weight such as the following 3 athletes with 170 kg entry:

Pramonghkhol :THA

Randafiarison :MAD

 Bektas :TUR

Women -49 kg

Another clash between :CHN and :PRK is expected in this category too.

1-      Ri :PRK (entry 210 kg) Asian champion 2024 (220 kg) and the world record holder when she get the gold medal in world cup 2024 with 221 kg.

2-      Xiang :CHN (entry 205 kg) the 20 yrs old has no records on IWF website in this weight category.

The bronze will be between:

Lin Cheng :TPE (entry 192 kg), 5 th in Asian ch 2024 with 187 kg

Ramos :PHI (entry 190 kg) bronze medalist in Asian ch 2024 with 190 kg

Women -55 kg

Again :PRK and  :CHN are the main figures for gold here

1-      Kang :PRK (entry 225 kg), Asian champion 2024 with 227 kg and Asian game champion with 233 kg and world record holder by lifting 234 kg in world cup 2024 and claiming the gold medal

2-      Zhang :CHN (entry 215), the 19 yrs old girl has no records on IWF website in this weight category.

The bronze mainly would be between 3 athletes with 210 kg total entry:

Chen :TPE , Ivzhenko :UKR & Grigoryan :ARM

Not far from them the 2 Colombians :COL Moya & Galvis, both with 205 kg total entry

 Women -59 kg

Three athletes are the main figures in this weight category:

1-      Kim :PRK (entry 235 kg), the   junior world record holder when she lifted 246 kg in Asian game 2022, also she is the Asian champion 2024 with 225 kg.

2-      Venegas :VEN (entry 235 kg), 4 th in Paris Olympics with 230 kg and pan American champion 2024 with 226 kg.

3-      Pei :CHN (entry 230 kg),   bronze medalist in world ch 2023 with 232 kg and 2nd in Asian ch 2023 with 236 kg.

I don’t think Yodsarn :THA , Beteyob  :INA or Magistris :ITA would be able to surprise the audiences.

Two :GBR are competing in 59 kg category both will have entry of 198 kg:

Gordon Brown, 7th in European ch 2024 with 200 kg

Smith, 25th of Wch 2023with 203 kg.

Expecting both to finish between 16th and 21st.

Women -64 kg

Two athletes from :PRK with total entry of 245 are the main contenders for gold and silver:

1-      Suk Ri, Asian champion 2024 with 253 kg, she lifted 260 kg when she got the gold medal in grand prix 2023

2-      Un Sim Rim, world cup 2024 winner with 258 kg and Asian game 2022 winner with 251 kg.

The following three are fighting for a place on the podium:

Li :CHN (entry 236 kg), Segura :COL (entry 235 kg) and Usuga :COL (entry 235 kg)

:GBR Davies (entry 226 kg), 5 th in Tokyo Olympics with 227 kg. expected to finish between 8th and 12th.

 Women -71 kg

Three players are the main athletes in this category, mostly the order will be as follows:

1-      Reeves :USA (entry 271 kg), Paris Olympic champion with 262 kg and world cup 2024 champion with 268 kg.

2-      Jong :PRK (entry 265 kg), she has no records in this weight category but she is the Asian champion 2024 in 76 kg weight category with 259 kg (her weight in this competition was 71.3 kg very close to the 71 kg weight category).

3-      Yang :CHN (entry 255 kg), winner of Asian ch 2022 with 228 kg.

Barton :GBR (entry 216 kg), the 34 years old athlete finished9th in 2024 European ch with 217 kg. expected to finish 20 th to 25th.

Women -76 kg

Returning back to :CHN vs :PRK challenges, the main two athletes competing for gold and both have entry of 265 kg are:

1-      Liao :CHN , she didn’t manage to put a total in Asian game in this weight category but she is the world record holder in 71 kg category by lifting a massive 273 kg in W ch 2023

2-      Song :PRK , Asian champion 2024 in 71 kg category by lifting 269 kg and Asian game winner by lifting 267 kg in the 76 kg category

Mostly the bronze would go for :COL as they have 2 athletes:

Mendoza (entry 250 kg), bronze medalist in world cup 2024 with 240 kg

Sanchez (entry 245 kg), her last record was back to 2014 in 63 kg weight category and since then not participated in major competitions.

Not far from them:

Nicholson :USA (entry 242 kg), Bedward :CAN (entry 241 kg) and Rogers :USA (entry 240 kg)

Brown :GBR asked for a preliminary entry of 217 kg, she is the 5 th in Junior W Ch 2024 with 222 kg. expected to finish 16th to 20th.

Women -81 kg

Since Koanda :NOR , the Olympic champion and Dajomes  :ECU Olympic bronze medalist are not participating and Cikamatana :AUSth in Paris Olympics moved to 87 kg weight category, the road is paved for :EGY to claim another medal in W Ch (why not gold)

1-      Sara Samir :EGY (entry 265 kg) Olympic runner up in Paris 2024 with 268 kg   and African champion in 2022, 2023 and 2024 in that weight category is the most popular figure to claim the gold medal.

2-      Amaro :BRA (entry 265 kg), 7 th in Paris Olympic with 240 kg and bronze medalist in Pan American ch 2024 with 243 kg. I don’t think she is able to lift the requested entry and would be surprised if she managed to get above 250 kg.

3-      Kim :PRK (entry 260 kg), she has no records in this weight category.

4-      Wu :CHN (entry 260 kg), she also has no records in this weight category.

5-      Su-hyeon Kim :KOR (entry 256 kg), Asian champion 2024 with 254 kg

6-      Iseul Kim :KOR   (entry 255 kg), bronze medalist in Asian ch with 238 kg and 6th in world cup 2024 with 255 kg.

Most likely the podium will be :EGY and the two with unknown records from :PRK and :CHN

Women -87 kg

5 athletes are fighting for the top three positions:

1-      Cikamatana :AUS (entry 260 kg), 4 th in Paris Olympics in 81 kg category with 262 kg,  silver medalist in W ch 2022 in 87 weight category with 249 kg and bronze in 2023 in 81 kg category with 256 kg.

2-      Kim :PRK (entry 258 kg), runner up of world cup 2024 with 258 kg

3-      Chirinos Leon :VEN (entry 255 kg) Pan American champion 2024 with 240 kg.

4-      Rahma Ahmed :EGY (entry 250 kg) the 18 yrs old junior w ch 2024 with 240 kg

5-      Jabborova :UZB (entry 250 kg), 10 th in the open weight in Paris Olympic with 251 kg, she dropped her weight from 96 kg (during Olympics) to be – 87 kg in a very risky decision.

Ngake :GBR is participating with 228 kg entry, the ex-Cameroonian has not participated in major competition since her bronze medal in London Olympics when she represented :CMR and lifted 246 kg in 75 kg weight category

Women +87 kg

Similar to the men open weight category, the world record holder here Wenwen :CHN is not participating leaving the floor for her fellow Chinese and others to get into the podium:

1-       Li :CHN (entry 300 kg), the 20 yrs old girl with no previous records in IWF website.

2-      Park :KOR (entry 296 kg), Silver medalist in Paris Olympics with 299 kg, Asian champion 2024 with 293 kg and world champion in 2023 with 289 kg.

3-      Campbell :GBR (entry 288 kg) Bronze medalist in Paris Olympics with 288 kg, Silver medalist in Tokyo 2020 with 283 kg and European champion 2024 with 263 kg.

4-      Son :KOR (entry 287 kg), runner up in Asian ch 2024 with 287 kg, runner up in Asian games with 283 kg and bronze medalist in world cup 2024 with 283 kg

5-      Theisen Lappen :USA (entry 280 kg), 5 th in Paris Olympics with 274 kg and winner of grand prix 2023 with 283 kg.

Campbell :GBR needs to do her best aiming to get the third position in this tough competition.

Analysis for the potential medal contenders in the Weightlifting World Championships 2024 in Bahrain

The analysis will be based on the preliminary entry total but doesn’t mean this would be the actual lifting numbers.

Will add also a high-level highlight on Egyptian and GB athletes participating and their opportunities if any.

Men Competitions

Men -55 kg

4 players proposed entry total of 270 kg.

1-      Gia Lai :VIE the gold medalist of WCH 2023 with 269 kg.

2-      Son Ngo :VIE   the silver medalist of WCH 2023 with 261 kg.

3-      Yang Yang :CHN – no previous records in IWF website.

4-      Un Pang :PRK gold medalist in world cup 2024 (270 kg) & Asian championship 2024 (266 kg)

My guess goes for :PRK and the two :VIE athletes, but don’t underestimate :CHN and potential surprise in snatch or clean and jerk from :THA athlete Natthawat Chomcheun

Men – 61 kg

The three medalists in Paris are not participating ( Fabin :CHN , Theerapong :THA and Hampton :USA)

3 players has preliminary entry of 300 kg

1-      Myong Pak :PRK the junior world record holder and silver medalist in Asian game 2022 (307 kg)

2-      Haixian Wei :CHN - no previous records in IWF website, the young lad porn on 2004.

3-      Ricko Saputra :INA the silver medalist in Asian championship 2024 (291 kg)

I’ll go with the same order above, with potential challenges from two :VIE athletes Trinh & Nguyen

:EGY young athlete Elaraby (porn 2006) is participating with total 280 kg, expecting to finish between 8 th and 12th.

Men -67 kg

5 players are fighting to be on the podium

1-      The highest total entry (325 kg) is by :CHN Zheng who has no previous records in IWF website.

2-      Sairamkez :KAZ , (321 kg entry) the silver medalist in Asian championship 2024 (292 kg) and 12 th in 2023 WCh (280 kg).

3-      RI :PRK , (320 kg entry) Asian champion 2024 (317 kg) and silver medalist in Asian games 2022 (321 kg)

4-      Another :PRK Pak with same 320 kg entry, has no previous records on IWF website in this weight category.

5-      Genc :TUR total 320 kg entry, 4 th in WCH 2022 (322 kg)

Can’t get a definite guess but I think the gold will go to one of the two :PRK athletes.

Men -73 kg

I don’t believe the entry order would be the final standing, the 5 highest entries are:

1-      Lee :KOR (348 kg) his previous records were mainly in 67 kg category

2-      Ri :PRK (345 kg), no previous records in this category

3-      Calja :ALB (345 kg) silver medalist in WCH 2021 and 5 th in European ch 2024

4-      Bak :KOR (345 kg), 7 th in Paris 2024 (334 kg), 5th in World cup 2024 (345 kg)

5-      Ben Hnia :TUN (342 kg), 8 th in Paris 2024 (330 kg) and African champion 2024 (320 kg)

I am expecting (if no injuries) Juniansyah :INA (335 kg entry) &   Zhong :CHN (340 kg total) could be strong competitors too if they boost their total entries.

Men -81 kg

6 main players are trying to get to the podium:

1-      Churkin :KAZ (370 kg), no previous records in this category but he is bronze medalist in WCG 2022 in 73 kg category with 343 kg total

2-      Martinez :ITA (360 kg), world champion 2023 (356 kg) & European champion 2024 (346 kg)

3-      Chong Ri :PRK (360 kg), Asian champion 2024 (369 kg)

4-      Uvarov :KAZ (360 kg), silver medalist in Asian ch 2024 (343 kg) & bronze in Asian games 2022 (348 kg)

5-      Liu :CHN (360 kg), no previous records in this category

6-      Mukhammadkodir :UZB (360 kg) bronze medalist in W ch 2023 (352 kg) and silver medalist in Asian games 2022 (351 kg)

:EGY Eslam Abuelwafa is participating with total requested entry of (355 kg) but I will be surprised if he finishes 7th.

Men -89 kg

5 players are competing to be medalists:

1-      Nasar :BUL (390 kg) the brilliant Olympic chamion in Paris (404 kg) wants to collect his 2 nd gold w ch medal after his gold in 2021 in 81 kg weight category

2-       Ro :PRK (385 kg), 4 th in grand prix 2023 (379 kg)

3-      Robu :MDA (375 kg), 4 th in Paris Olympics (383 kg) and bronze medalist is European Ch 2024 (378 kg)

4-      Yu :KOR (375 kg), 6 th in Paris 2024 (371 kg)

5-      Zafarjonov :UZB (375 kg), silver medalist in Asian ch 2024 (362 kg)

Few athletes can change their entry later and can be strong competitors too, such as:

Pan :CHN (371 kg)

Kurlovich :AIN (373 kg)

Karapetyan :ARM (370 kg)

Men -96 kg

4 highest entry athletes are challenging each others for medals, they are:

1-      Kianosh Rostami :KOS !! I am in doubt and tried to follow the news to get confirmation if Rostami change his nationality from :IRI to :KOS or it’s just a typo but couldn’t, hope someone can confirm. His entry is 390 kg, the 33 years old Rostami is Olympic champion in 2016 in 85 kg category.

2-      Won :KOR (389 kg), Asian champion 2024 (367 kg), world cup champion 2024 (389 kg) and silver in W ch 2023 (384 kg)

3-      Sumpradit :THA (385 kg), bronze medalist in Asian games 2022 (384 kg)

4-      Adiletuly :KAZ (385 kg), runner up in 2022 Wch (383 kg)

Few other competitors will be hard figures such as the two :ARM athletes (Mkrtchyan & Hovhannisyan ) both have entry of 380 kg.

:EGY Mahmoud Hosny (porn in 2005) has entry of 375 kg. He was the raising star for the Egyptian national team but series of back injuries with wrong and bad recovery affected him so much since his brilliant performance in 2022 Youth W ch in 89 kg category with 343 kg total (28 kg ahead of the runner-up). Also changing the body weight several time in short duration affected his recovery process.

Men -102 kg

3 top athletes with highest total entries are:

1-      Aymen Bacha :TUN (401 kg), very high number compared to his previous records. His best was in 2020 Olympics in 109 kg category and was only 388 kg. Aymen is the African champion 2023 in 109 kg category.

2-      Fares Elbakh :QAT (400 kg), Tokyo Olympic champion in 96 kg category with 402 kg total but failed to score any snatch lifts in Paris and got eliminated in 102 kg category.

3-      Antropov :KAZ (400 kg),    6th in 2022 W ch (385 kg)

:EGY Yasser Salem has preliminary entry of 385 kg, expected to finish 10 th to 12th.

:GBR Griffiths has a low entry (353 kg), his best record is 346 kg when  he finished 6th in commonwealth games 2022

Men -109 kg

5 athletes are aiming for the medals:

1-      Nurudinov :UZB (410 kg), 2 nd in 2023 W CH (407 kg) and Asian champion 2024 (382 kg)

2-      Dadashbayli :AZE (405 kg), European champion 2024 (388 kg), bronze in 2023 Wch (403 kg)

3-      Samarkanov :KAZ (401 kg), bronze medalist in Asian CH 2023 (390 kg)

4-      Amriddinov :UZB (400 kg), runner-up in Asian CH 2024 (381 kg)

5-      Karapetyan :ARM (400 kg), no previous records in this category.

Very difficult to see different names on the podium.

Men +109

For the first time since 2014 we will see a new world champion in this weight category other than the all-time legend Lasha Talakhadze :GEO

The athletes aiming for the glory are:

1-      Lalayan :ARM (460 kg), silver medalist in Paris Olympics (467 kg)

2-      Minasyan :BRN (460 kg), bronze medalist in Paris Olympics (461 kg)

3-      Martirosyan :ARM (450 kg),   silver medalist in European ch 2024 (437 kg) and 5th in W CH 2023 (450 kg)

4-      Ali Ammar :IRQ (440 KG), 6 th in Paris Olympics (437 kg) and bronze medalist in Asian Ch 2024 (425 kg)

Initial total for other athletes are not higher than 410 kg, which would be difficult to compete with those 4 unless the total entry change dramatically.

It could happen from few athletes like:

Davoudi :IRI (currently 390 kg entry)

Sharifikelarijani :IRI (currently 390 kg entry)

Women analysis will follow next week isa.

looking at the  Junior WCH (U-20) results so far, seems like USA is gearing up. the target would be to challenge China in LA 2028 and snatch few gold medals here and there.

p.s: China is not participating in Junior WCH

I am wondering if we can see USA in good shape in Bahrain WCH too :coffee:

Anyone know why people seem to have dropped out of the latest ranking list even though their previous weight would have been enough for them to be included? For example :KAZ Lyubov Kovalchuk lister 274Kg at the Asian Championship but no longer appears on the Olympic qualification list for the +81Kg class.

Expand

my take on that if someone has not participated in a manadatory event (like WCH 2023) he/she is out of the ranking list immediately regardless of the previous results.

Quick observations (as a fan not as a specialist):

  • :CHN with 7 golds presumably favorable to claim at least 4 golds at Olympics
  • Great performance from :ECU & :COL ..specially :ECU in Olympic classes
  • :EGY third is the best performance since 1951 but both golds were in non-olympic classes
  • IWF facebook page broadcasting was great and I have enjoyed the competition … hey ..UWW can you hear me!
  • The current qualification system is silly for spectators, number of DNS players was massive which killed the entertainment of the world championship
  • :IRI  is coming back to form and could be better when Rasoul Motamedi returns to his top form
  • Lasha is still the big favourite to men heavyweight category and the threat from :BRN & :ARM is manageable till now
  • :CHN 5 olympic women classes are great, it would be hard decision for the unselected athletes, they all deserve the quota, I don’t see Li Wenwen out of the picture, one game out of few last yeat brilliant performance doesn’t mean she is out
  • The rule should be clear what is the status of the 5 Nations  :TKM  :UKR  :KAZ:PAK  :TUR (may increase) they have more 3 doping cases, that would be fair for them and for others too, are they competing at Olympics, reduced quotas? Or suspended.

he was weighted 95.81 today. almost the max he could to compete at 96kg.

but yeah he is almost guaranteed a quota at 89kg. so he only needs to cut just once, for the Olympics itself.

That’s good to know .. I got the info (he didn’t gain so much weight) from Egyptian Journalist .. I presume he measures (so much weight) as +30 kg 😂😂

but all the info from Egyptian federation he is going back to his 89 body weight.. my personal opinion that’s too risky.. however winning gold in W CH is giving him a high confidence for sure.. we will see

I know, but he's limiting his chances in that class

most likely, the 18 yr old guy has a lot more potential to gain BW and improve his score, so it's kind of an obligated move to get down to 89kg for Abokahla, but still...

Expand

As far as I know Abokahla didn’t gain a lot of weight to play in 96 .. easy to return back to 89.. but you know the non-Olympic category is much easier competition (generally speaking)

regarding his position is not very secured in 89 category they said it’s secured by continental quota

and actually he just moved down 1 position

Thanks!

for what concerns Abokahla, I think he would have more chances going up to 102kg rather than down to 89kg (where he has a good 375kg record, but the medals are 20kg higher)

meanwhile raising his BW to 102kg might give him a chance to go close to 400kg total (and a medal is safe around 395 in that class)

basically, you need a better score in the -89kg than in the -102kg to medal at the Olympics this time

Expand

Karim Abokahla just entered 96kg competition to secure a medal.. he will return back to his Olympic body weight class (89kg)

the 2 Egyptians on the 102 list would be yasser and Mahmoud (who competed today in 96 kg category) Mahmoud is just 18 yrs so I presume he competed to gain experience

in the meantime, the OQR in the men's -89kg slightly changed in the lower useful positions

of course, :IRI Javadi broke in big time with his 384kg, but :IRI were already in good qualifying position thanks to Rostami's score of 380kg

now they just gained 1 position (from 5th to 4th) with the new entry

also Petr Asayonak (AIN, actually :BLR @Laraja you should correct the qualification table...he's not :RUS) improved his record to 371kg and his position (now he's 8th)

the man who actually entered the qualifying positions is :MDA Marin Robu (370kg), who's now 10th

unfortunately, :FRA Romain Imadouchene is 11th, the first below the line after his 369kg effort

:TKM Rejepbay Rejepov dropped from the 10th useful place to the 12th with his 366kg (he didn't compete in Riyadh)

Expand

Rejepov :TKM is suspended with doping offince, he will miss Paris 2024.

and Alexey Churkin :KAZ too

According to the past experience of Tokyo OG, China has internal selection criteria on Asian Championships on OG year. The standard will be very high even higher than World Record. If the champion of the category meet the standard then she will be automatically selected otherwise mainly considering the margin of winning I guess. My personal choice will be 49kg, 81kg and 87kg+ currently.

that makes sense, my expectation is close to yours 49kg, 71kg and+87kg (but not dicounting 81kg).

however, someone like Lui Shifang in 59 kg category, she has not great margin with Konotop from :UKR but she is solid and not easy to come close to her total lifts... anyway, good luck for your team and wish the best athletes to be slected

old samples can be legally tested until 8 years after they were collected, so those of 2012 are now "legally dead" and actually they should have been destroyed after the end of the period they have to be kept by law

Legally you’re correct

but with the new testing methods which can detect more substances I doubt those samples were actually clean.. but of course can’t change the rules 🤷‍♂️

Why she keep medal from 2012... illogical

Expand

The announcement said the sample she tested positive with is from Russia lab scandal in 2013 … but I believe retesting of her 2012 sample should carried out again (if physically possible)

the sports still on risk of getting kicked off LA 2028, as it is outside the preliminary program.

also Ajan has a bad reputation covering up some doppers including Kazakhstan players.

I am expecting harsh decision against the country, but feeling sad for poor clean athletes.

    • Also GB didn’t reach its target in the 4x100 women relay or the medley so those places might be rejected.
    • It was the last event of the meet anyway, so they were never likely to do a swim off. If they wanted to decide in advance based on a race, more likely on a meet like Mare Nostrum.   Both are pre-selected anyway because of the relay, so they both will be there anyway. Whichever gets the nod, we probably won't know until the week of.   With GB's history of messing about, especially in the first year of a new Olympic cycle, who knows what we'll do. Knowing us, stick Tom Dean in there, make Duncan do the 200 fly and Jimmy the 400 free.
    • Will they do a swim-off?   The other option is they select both of them and then the head coach decides who swims at the meet.
    • Very glad they went with foursome/four-ball rather than just adding up individual scores.
    • I'll give it a shot.   On the mens side the freestyle results were pretty standard with the usual suspects of Ben Proud, Matt Richards and Duncan Scott swimming well. I don't think any of these guys were fully tapered and Proud didn't even shave for his 50m free win (21.67). 17 year old Jacob Mills came second in both the 50 and 100m free, so is on the team for Singapore. Tom Dean has only just got back into training but qualified in the 4x100 after being preselected in the 4x200 free.  James Guy looked impressive with a PB in the 200m free at 1:45.08. He also won the 400m free in a race where he went out way too fast and died at the end (3:46.64). The longer distances weren't notable.   Ollie Morgan was certainly stand out swimmer on the mens side sweeping the backstrokes for a 3rd straight year. He broke the national record in the 100m with a 52.12 with a pretty poor finish. He also impressed in the 200m with a 1:55.55   Without Peaty, the mens breaststroke was pretty poor, with Greg Butler only qualifying for the relay. 17 year olds Max Morgan and Filip Nowacki took home a few medals between them.   The Men's fly was also pretty pedestrian by international standards. Proud won the 50m in 23.21 with a long glide, whilst Ed Mildred took the relay spot in 51.80. 17 y.o Jack Brown was only 0.07 back Duncan Scott won the 200m (1:54.89) but he wont swim it in Singapore.   Scott took the mens 200m IM in 1:56.44, whilst, Max Litchfield won the 400m in 4:11.59     On the women's side the quality wasn't as good but there were a few standout performances.   Freya Colbert got close to the British record in the 200m free in 1:55.76, and Eva Okaro impressed with a 24.48 50m free.    The backstrokes were disappointing with nobody breaking a minute in the 100 (1:00.03), but Katie Shanahan looked good in the 200 at (2:07.91)   Angharad Evans was rapid in the breaststrokes breaking the national record in the 100 (1:05.37), and a huge PB in the 200 (2:21.86)   Fly was poor with nobody breaking 58 in the 100 (58.03), but Macinnes broke the Scottish record in the 200 (2:07.14)   Abbie Wood swept the Medleys with a 2:08.85 200 and a 4:36.66 400     Overall the results were alright with a few strong standout performances. As is the case in a post olympic year, the big guns took it fairly easy whilst some juniors looked really promising.    More results here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2025_Aquatics_GB_Swimming_Championships
