Well, this tournament definitely isn't a success on this site. If only we qualified... 
ExpandWell, Hungary losing both finals is pretty awkward. Though the women's match is really the one they lost. Belgium here was at another level.
It's a tradition now that we mess up our chances in new versions of traditional events. First mixed curling, now 3x3 basketball. I had a feeling that this is going to happen, so it doesn't hurt that much. We had a good run so far in the team qualification events, like in water polo, handball, fencing, table tennis, I am glad that we messed up here, not in the traditional team events that, at least for me, matter way more.
Well, that's it. I am not sure if Hungarian basketball will ever get chances like these to be represented at the Games again...
I knew it that Medgyessy will mess it up in the end for us... Oh well, we didn't deserve the quota.

That was a big surprise, I would have never expected us to beat that easily. Still, I think this quota is between and . I will only start thinking about the potential quota for us if we will beat Slovenia in the SF.
Bad start from us, but we still pulled through. We need to improve, this might not be enough on Sunday.

btw, I am not sure if I only say this because we lost, but I don't like the OT rule. I would prefer it if they would add 1 more minute and have the same rule for 21 points instead of this "first team to score two more points wins" rule.

Is that from the 3x3 commentator? I think I would be a bit irritated by his style during a traditional Olympic event, but he's perfect for 3x3. A similar style of commentating would also work for me for the other new "urban" disciplines.

We clearly had the weaker group and we didn't have a "perfect" game so far, your team seemed more sharp against Germany. I think you are the favorites, but it can be really close. It would probably be a more fair outcome if you qualify tomorrow and then we qualify in Debrecen as I feel like both France and Hungary should be in Tokyo. At the very least I can say that we don't deserve the quota if we can't even qualify in Debrecen, you on the other hand got a terrible draw and this is your only chance.

So far we have done what we should for the qualification, but I can't shake the feeling France is stronger than us, we were a bit sloppy in the last few matches. But at least it looks like we might be the favorites for the second tournament if we won't qualify tomorrow.
Yeah... France is really strong. We will need to pull off a miracle in the QF if we get there. It's ridiculous that possibly the Top2 teams of this tournament are in the same group.

Time for the IOC to consider moving the curling fields to 12 teams, in line with pretty much every other team sport on either the summer/winter program. -
It probably meant to happen next year but i don't agree as to results. Head is important, sth went wrong there and even when they knew it's over they started to look better in Planica. I believe it will get better and if he stays at junior level no, it ain't gonna be cheaper at all. Rather the other way round. Even if his salary will be a bit smaller his level will force bigger investments in youth squad. So this theory is like 50/50 now (i admit i didn't expect this junior version but it seems realistic now). -

Never bet on Hungary winning an Olympic quota in women's basketball. We always fail.
