Just an inspiring story of perseverance: Geovanna Santos is competing in her ninth season as a senior gymnast. Most gymnasts retire after four or five years, so even competing at the highest level in her ninth year is already unusual.   However, this year she achieved a breakthrough result by earning her very first medal on the World Cup circuit, winning bronze on ribbon at the Tashkent World Cup.   It’s never too late to achieve success.

as expected, the C&J was quite a missed lifts fest   however, Marin Robu won also this competition with 200kg, completing the triple set of gold medals   local hero Luka Mskhelidze got the silver medal in both the C&J and the Olympic Total, with Andranik Karapetyan saving the Total bronze despite a modest effort in the 2nd phase   C&J bronze went to Cristiano Ficco ❤️ finally fit after a few years full of injuries (the Italian was also 4th in the OT, just 3kg shy of bronze and he was the only man with 6 good lifts Today)

interesting competition in the men's -88kg    we can already say that Kianoush Rostami's switch to didnt go that well, as he bombed out in the Snatch (2 missed lifts at 167kg and 1 at 170 🤦) @MHSN   meanwhile Andranik Karapwtyan's new Home Country can already enjoy a silver medal in the Snatch   Marin Robu however dominated the 1st phase with a new ER at 173kg   let's see now what happens in the C&J 🤔 (looking at the opening weights I fear that there will be a lot of misses, trying adventurous start weights)
