  1. If you wanna take a look Sprint events (Olympic format - with qualification + heats/semifinals/finals like in CC sprint): Vertical events, the TRUE SkiMo
  2. Well no, it has absolutely nothing to do with it. The core of orienteering is to take a map, a compass and solve the problem by finding the checkpoints. It's a very logical sport. Ski mountaineering, on the other hand, is a pure endurance sport. It involves going up mountains with crazy slopes on a pre-defined route and, except for the individual event, the races are against other people. The Olympic format is certainly not very appealing, the least traditional of all, but it is a sprint of about 5 minutes where you have to climb a slope on skis (and there is a downhill section, requiring you to wear skins under your skis).
  3. I think this is the first time I've seen athletes in wheelchairs practising martial arts. OK, they're just “forms”, but still...
  4. Open Ne-Waza gold final against an Isreli pair
  5. Currently, only 14 NOCs have managed to win at least one medal every day: Already sure of a medal today: Streak at risk:
  6. On a day that seemed terrible, Italy manages to save its medal streak. Jujitsu final for Napoli/Napoli
  7. Lara Malsiner, the best Italian, broke the cruciate and meniscus of her left knee after a fall in Courchevel. The Italian will miss the entire season, including the Olympics at home
  8. Not a great day for the two skating superpowers, Colombia wins "only" one gold medal but above all Italy fails to win even one medal (ok, we haven’t Marsili, Marletti and others, but still…)
  9. Mateusz Malina (wakeboard) and Noah Bollard (freedrive) nominated as atlethe of the day
  10. And still on the subject of small countries making history, won the bronze medal (in my opinion, the most entertaining routine) in open jujitsu. Is the fourth medal (all bronze) in their history
  11. won their frist medal of their history, defeating France 3-2 in the hockey inline BMM!
  12. I have never seen anything more ridiculous than the ju-jitsu duo show open, really
  13. WR for one of the most know atletes of the game, swimmer Szabó
  14. After 2 HOURS (!!), the score of a ju-jitsu semi-final was changed, sending Italy's Fiorelli to the final for the gold medal. There was a lot of confusion, with matches rescheduled and long breaks for no reason and without warning
  15. Frist medal ever for Marco Orsi, plus time ECh in swimming, at World Games!
  16. A dirla tutta, dopo aver scritto il mio messaggio, Mei ha un pò corretto il tiro parlando di "vacanza". Immagino l'idea sia portarla come riserva per la staffetta
  17. After yesterday's big feast, today we have a more manageable schedule. I'll give Ju-Jitsu a try by watching the entire final session.
  18. 4th place for Italy in the tug of war Quite a surprise
  19. Stefano Mei ha appena aperto alla convocazione di Doualla in nazionale a Tokyo Anche se ricordo la contrarietà dell’allenatore…
  20. Megan Kealy (trumblinh) and Indonesian Dragon Boat Team nominated as athlete of the day
  21. These Europeans are definitely better than any positive expectations Italian Junior Record & gold for Togni
  22. Watch out that the cable finals were not broadcast tonight. This is also because they are at a different venue.
  23. I suppose then that they are different formats. In the cable final, there were definitely two rounds
  24. I don't know where these Chinese athletes in Paralympic freediving come from, but wow. With very low declared measurements, they managed to win two out of three gold medals.
