  1. Got wrong that about double the points. It's actually 50 points for a stage win, but an athlete can get 200 more for being an overall winner of the Finals. So, in theory, one can get 350 points. Men Overall: Johannes Høsflot Klæbo 1281 Alexander Bolshunov 1250
  2. Women Sprint: Stina Nilsson 476 Maiken Caspersen Falla 463 Overall: Natalya Nepryayeva 1327 Ingvild Flugstad Østberg 1329 Awesomely close. 2 x Sprint F (one with double the points) 1 x 10 Km F 1 x 10 Km C Mass Start (double the points) 1 x 10 Km F Pursuit (double the points)
  3. No luck for Pellegrino either, so Sprint title is done and dusted? Klæbo will have close to 150 points advantage. Still 300 in play though. Bolshunov failed, but not all was that bad, as he's the fastest of the "rest", 13th place for...20 points. Østberg just 6, and I believe 14 for Pärmäkoski.
  4. Bolshunov fails to qualify for SF as well! Klæbo surely gets in front of him overall, just 50 points or so difference.
  5. Shocking result, Russia did NOT win gold in Cross-country 30k.
  6. Østberg and Pärmäkoski fail to qualify for SF, lots of points lost. Pending last group, the Norwegian is at only 4 points now, Nepryayeva might even catch her today...
  7. Think Johaug gave up on overall, no show today, though there probably weren't much chance of winning it anyway, even with double points in the finals. In sprint, Nilsson with 63 points advantage over Falla, and even Dahlqvist could do something as well. On men's side, Klaebo and Bolshunov 1st and 2nd in qualifications, so still close for overall, but in sprint, Pellegrino is 60 points away of Klaebo, too much I'd say.
  8. I'm a huge fan of forgiving (we), learning (they) and rehabilitation (they). With repeat offenders, not so much.
  9. Just noticed in replay that Garanichev threw his chances for medal by doing two penalty loops after final shooting, but only missing one target. Maybe wouldn't have gotten a medal, probably wouldn't, but he'd still be there with QFM and Tarjei Boe. Brain fart? Or perhaps he actually has missed twice then, but we got wrong indicators in coverage?
  10. Hope noone says "congrats" to him again.
  11. Hope they succeed, really fun sport. I watched quite a lot as well. All of biathlon, ski orienteering and short track, missed one race in alpine skiing and cross-country...even seen some of snowboard and free style skiing, which I usually do not watch. I missed all of the team sports like bandy and ice hockey, but did see gold matches for curling.
  12. Just came to post about how thrilled I am with this sport, especially now as I fully committed to watching one from the start, grasping the rules and syncing (easy to do with replays as well) GPS with the video. And you post this sad news. FISU, up yours! We'll just have to get it into Olympics then.
  13. Can't believe how eurovisionsports.tv spoiled 3 out of 4 finals with stupid thumbnails they used.
  14. 3 misses, and he'll still win. Such a Johaug.
  15. One more shooting to go, and probably dozen or so candidates for silver and bronze. Not bad at least in that regard. Boe can miss another two and still comfortably win.
  16. Boe can afford himself another two misses.
  17. Eurosport forgot there's biathlon going on at the moment.
  18. Cross-country seems to be one FIS sport that'll be interesting until the final races in both men and women's field. 1. Østberg 1317 2. Nepryayeva 1267 3. Krista Pärmäkoski 1057 4. Therese Johaug 960
  19. I love Kaisa, but fact is, she failed on the biggest stage of them all. Yeah, a bit of a loser. Still one of my favs.
